What with the Scotland kit, how you going to win any game playing in that?

USA 1 Mexico 2.

Donald, Donald, what's the score?

US goal scored by an African-American/Japanese footballer too.

Did USA have a goalkeeper or did Brad Guzan play?

Howard started and got injured, Guzan finished and allowed the classic 89th minute winner. They are both horrible at this point.

Klinsmann is an absolute clown, too. Glad we never got him. The man, for some odd reason, has such a high standing internationally. He is awful. Started with a clear cut 3-5-2 and post game blamed his midfield, and said it was supposed to be a 3-4-3. Bradley, who I do not particularly like, came out after the game and said halftime tactics were unclear. Klinsmann pointed the finger at his players, poor form. The first 25 minutes was one-way traffic, they hit the post 3 times. Klinsmann did nothing.

He won't last much longer. I don't see the US beating Costa Rica away.

Oh, and Altidore stinks.

No.

The two squads took a pre-game picture together to signify unity.

Consett 4 (0) v (1) 1 Guisborough Town

Att 253

Several yellows, one straight red and enough handbags to stock a Front Street market stall.

I notice Kodjia played for 70+ mins for Ivory Coast in goalless draw in Morocco (subbed by Bony) and Ayew played the whole game in 0-2 defeat for Ghana in Egypt...but got a yellow card.

Ayew is a caution it must be said, and referees seem universally to take yellow or red card  exception to his scowling demeanour.
