These two kits should be on the "modern football is shit" thread.

England should always be, white shirt, dark blue shorts, white socks.

Scotland, dark blue shirts, white shorts, red socks.

Agreed. Scotland's current shirt is dark blue with white sleeves though, for some reason. FIFA made them change due to the clash with the English white sleeves.

Utter garbage apart from the goal. We'd be in the crap if we were playing anyone half decent like the Faroe Islands.

England just lack any world class players, pure and simple. If they are ever to punch above their weight they either need an injection of real talent or develop an industrious team spirit. Not sure what people are expecting of them?

I'd imagine they expect a team which is almost exclusively made up of top six Premier League players worth hundreds of millions to outplay a team consisting primarily of second tier players.

Not losing to Iceland and not being outplayed by Scotland?

2-0 and daylight robbery. Dick Turpin would be proud of this!

Bugger. We'd made a good start to the half too.

Game's up.

The difference is the finishing. Scotland have created more and better chances.

I cannot remember a time in all my life when England had a worse set of players to choose from.  I agree that we have no real genuine world class players at present but this lot are really poor.

That second goal really doesn't say a lot for Scotland either does it?  I feel for Scotland in a way.  I've posted before that Scottish footballers always seemed to form the backbone of English football clubs, not anymore sadly.  Look at the Scottish influence of our club.

That's a given and in the large majority of cases that's precisely what they do. However, most followers tend to get annoyed at their inevitable failure during championships. That expectation I do find perplexing.
