Well my intrepid reporter I can exclusively reveal it finished 0-0.  No details of a replay date.

Would like to see a Canadian team win the American League. Not sure when was the last time that happened in any sport. Where's Redsox when you need him?

You called.......

Toronto Blue Jays won back to back World Series in 92 and 93 with the help of one of my all time favourite players, John Olerud

NHL doesn't really count because that's always been a joint Canadian / USA league. Montreal have won the Stanley Cup more than any other team.

The weirdest one must be the 1995 Canadian Football League champions being.......... Baltimore  ???

I have a feeling that Rapid Vienna won the German Bundesliga at least once.

I think Derry City have won some stuff in the Republic of Ireland League set-up, Monaco have won the French League and a team from Brunei, in addition to French and Japanese expat teams, have won the Singapore League.

Yes, I have too much time on my hands.

They did but it was after the Anschluss so that doesn't technically count!

Indeed.  Derry City have won the FAI Premier League on two occations and the FAI Cup five times.  They have also won further competitions within the Republic.  They were founded in 1928 and, interestingly, adopted the colours of Aston Villa in 1929 until 1932.  They now play in red and white stripes.  They have a very good following both home and away.

Well, technically they merged with Oswestry Town, who were obviously based in England even though they played in Wales, so they should at least half count!

Less of a merger than a takeover to be honest.

Completely. Then they express surprise that the town of Oswestry doesn't take to them.

Argentina are doing their best to avoid qualifying for the next World Cup.

I'm sure Scotland will be free, if they need someone to play.
