Small Heath record against Midlands teams... Played 3 lost 3 (played 4 lost 4 if you count Oxford as Midlands).

Villa fan scores the second against Small Heath. I bet that went down well in Bordesley

"Aston Villa we're waiting for you"

Whoops. Gone for a Burton.

My friends Dad coached him when he played for Chemsley Wood under 14s or something so took great delight in texting him when Ward scored.

No way are SHA finishing in the play offs, they'll fall away soon enough.

And it's Burton Albion, Burton Albion F.C

It's been that long, I'd forgotten what schadenfreude feels like

Both Burton goal scorers were Brummies.

I thought they'd be a bit better than that. Error prone and a lack of quality is what stood out for me. I'm sure Bruce seen it to. We should be able to exploit their weaknesses.

After Ward's goal, the commentator loses the plot a little by suggesting Birmingham are a big scalp or something. Hmmmmm. No.

I keep hearing how Small Heath are nailed on for at least the Play Offs from the likes of Pete, Ken & Polly and that we have no chance ........

Well in 8 days time there is a strong possibility that the team that has no chance will be only 3 points points behind the nailed on team for the play offs

Then with over 30 games to go .............

Durham City 2 (0) v (1) 1 Esh Winning

Att 69

Durham, homeless and potless, spent the first half introducing themselves to each other. Bottom of the table Esh Winning went short or long according to circumstance - all the while demonstrating their familiarity with the dark arts. Durham clicked in the second half, Esh Winning charitably providing goals from a daft free kick given away on the edge of the area and a few minutes later a dafter penalty.

As annoying as I find it, Liverpool will be in major contention for the title this year. If Klopp finds them some consistency they could win it easily.
