On R5 they were questioning whether however million people worldwide were watching the match. They also mentioned that there was 10 or 12 hours pre-match coverage of the game on Norwegian television. And I thought the Sky adverts promoting it as the most exciting football match ever were OTT.

His title winning teams used to try to blow away the lower table teams and for teams around them, he has always just shut up shop and hoped to nick a goal. I haven't watched the game but I'm assuming his team just stifled and kicked Liverpool into submission.

No, he has took credit for the result and tactics. Apparently he reckons it wasn't the result he wanted, but it was the result he wanted.

Like watching McLeish's Villa vs late-era Lambert's Villa, really. Zlatan producing a Gabby-esque statue performance, United not really bothering with attack, although they looked comfortable playing out of Liverpool's press. Liverpool spent most of the game passing it about aimlessly, except for that Coutinho potshot which De Gea made it look harder to save than it actually was.

Legia Warsaw are 80-1 to win at Real Madrid tonight.

Can't remember ever seeing such long odds in a two-horse race.

Fuck it, I've had £3 on it.

I see McNulty wants to keep in Moanihio's good books.

So last night was a great night of football?

He then claims that he is ushering in a new age of football even though Fergie used to shut up shop against better teams as well, the only difference being he rarely did it in the domestic league as his team was the top team in most cases.

take De Gea out of that team and they are not even top 6

he's the best in the world now I think,
two saves last night were world class,
especially the first when not seeing it till late he had to get down low quickly and get a strong hand/arm on it,   unbelievable save

Think De Gea has been their player of the season for the last three seasons which tells you how much they rely on him, he's a great keeper.

For those of us without a  BT Subscription, Barca Man City is on the BT Showcase channel,59.  Hopefully MSN will tear the City defence a new one.

Do Man City lump the ball into the box from corners? Have a free bet and thinking of going for a centre half to score.
