We're not fighting Newcastle for a promotion spot. We're fighting ourselves. We are simply our own worst enemy. Sort that out and we will have more than enough to get promoted.

You could tell who Sky wanted to win too.

What was your first clue? Mine was before the kick off when the commentator described them as "By far the biggest club ever to play in the Championship".

Watching Mark Hughes whining about refs favouring big teams in his post match bleat on MOTD. He never complained about it when he was at Man U.

Baggies getting booed off.
Best case senario - fans get Pulis the sack blaming appalling style of football then new manager takes them down.

Pulis-ball is entirely based around stopping the opponent from playing or being creative. If that gets him 40 points then he feels he has justified his existence as a football manager. If he gets a win or two in there by takin advantage of an opponent that has exhausted itself trying to play the game then it's a bonus.

On a very different level of course but they have essentially killed the game by putting away the second. We don't do that. We have played more than well enough to lead games 2-0 or more but invariably our inability to capitalize on chances allows the opponent back into games. And the longer this goes on the more the opposing manager will feel confident that a game vs Villa is never truly lost.

Manchester City seem quite a good team. Just class all over the pitch. Stones looks like he's loving being encouraged to pass, pass, pass.

Watching Barcelona at Atletico Bilbao tonight, they are effectively using their goalkeeper as a ball playing sweeper, to an extent I've never seen before.  It's all hugely impressive, but is going to place huge demands on the fitness levels of their defenders.
