Pogba looks a great buy and I still don't think I've seen Ibrahimovic have more than a handful of good games. I must be really unlucky when it comes to watching him.
Pogba looks completely out of his comfort zone to me

I think Pogba suffers from being an all rounder whereas midfielders tend to be specialists nowadays.  He's not as good as say Silva going forward or Kante defensively.  That's not saying he's a bad player but harder to find a system which suits him.

I live in the heart of Man Utd country here (Newport Pagnell)  I'm 180 miles away from Manchester set in the home counties

I watched the match in the local football club, bearing in mind in the Ferguson era the place would always be packed out both sides with utd fans, as would be every pub in town showing the game
on Sunday there was half a dozen old fella's who drink in there anyway cheering along,

I honestly think our support grew larger the worse we got last season,
it almost became a masochistic thing,
the games away games I went to after we were relegated were some of the best and most memorable iv'e ever been to, which is only because of the Villa away support and atmosphere because the players on the pitch were by en large a disgrace

can you imagine what the fickle tossers would be like if they went nearly a year and a half without an away win, wankers the lot of em

Carles Gil has just come on as a sub for Deportivo. Perhaps another case of the right player at the wrong time. At least he's only on loan to them and I hope he comes good.

That goal against Bournemouth was class.

There's an agreed fee, so either he's rubbish and they don't sign him (which is bad) or he's great and they sign him (which would be a shame). So there isn't really an upside for us.

He must be the player with the greatest overall quality of goal for us. Bournemouth, Leicester and Sunderland - all were great.

Luc Nilis says hi.

No change though on the fans side however, hundreds of them dressed like Christmas trees  in Liverpool City Centre when I left work tonight.

Has Rooney had another hair transplant or is Ibrahimovic having yet another piss poor game?

Seats being thrown at West Ham, according to the Beeb.  No news yet on whether Phil McNulty deems this a return to the dark ages...

That goal came shortly after some disturbances in the crowd, with missiles thrown and fighting breaking out.

Otherwise there appeared to be few problems in the stands and there was action enough on the pitch to keep the crowd - a West Ham record for the League Cup - fully engaged

Oh, well that's alright then.

That's ok, just as long as they stay in the stands.

Record amounts of police were deployed for the fixture between these two rivals but it wasn't enough to keep a lid on fighting between fans.

Segregation between the home and away supporters was destroyed as fans brawled in the dying minutes of a the clash. Coins, bottles and even seats were thrown as police and stewards acted quickly to try and separate fans.

Chelsea fans' way out of the ground was sealed off by security barriers in the immediate vicinity of the stadium but the mile-long route to Stratford station, a key weakness in the hope for peace between the rival supporter groups, is only sparsely populated by police serials - the operational name for groups of officers.

"They're going to have to do something about this," one police officer told Mirror Football.

"Operationally it is the worst football stadium I have ever worked out.

"It just isn't a football stadium.

"The segregation inside the ground isn't enough and out here it's impossible."

So basically this stadium we're all paying for isn't fit for purpose, and the fans we're buying it for are ripping it up and throwing chunks of it around.  The ungrateful bastards.

I've not been but surely they factored segregation into the design when the idea was touted for use by West Ham and all the redevelopment that went on?

You're not segregated underneath apparently either.

There certainly seems to be an element of "looking the other way" from the Football authorities as far as trouble at this ground is concerned.

I don't know why, surely this is a shining example of the way Football will go in the future? Let the proletariat pay, fight, fear and worry while the rich sit back and count the money.
