Why do you feel the need to stick the boot in like that?  He was extremely useful in the period after Christmas when we were short at the back and whilst it was only a few games they were vital ones and he performed admirably.

He clearly cared for the club and took the responsibility on his shoulders. Also did the job to the best of his abilities. Plenty of players over the past few years wouldn’t be fit to lace his boots on that score.
