I think elphick and the Jedi took there performances to new levels versus Preston = lower

The worst atrocity on Saturday was the second goal.  Jesus wept.

For me, Elphick was the stand out player at being totally clueless against Barnsley. The guy has no idea what hes doing, and Jedinak!! I thought hed be the midfield boss for us but hes useless. Professional footballers shouldnt need over 10 games to gel

I thought the little cameo number that Westwood did by standing on his toes and waving his arms majestically whilst their player ran away with the ball was quite touching!

I agree, but to be fair, Jedinak hasn't had anywhere near 10 games yet.

Jedinak was crap against Newcastle and in the first half against Barnsley but in the second half an Oakwell he was fine, tackling, rarely giving the ball away and doing the job I imagine we bought him for but at Preston he was dire. I don't know if it was because he had Westwood for a partner or never recovered from that homicidal pass into our area.

As for Elphick, he has been a fuckin' disaster as a player and as a captain. I sincerely hope it is temporary on both cases. January is a long way off.

The spine we've bought has been a complete disaster so far - Gollini, elphick and Jedinak have directly cost us about ten goals already, not counting their general impact on performances

I expect a new manager to seek a new keeper and midfielder in January, and to prioritise that over getting in cover for our afcon forwards

Yep, unfortunately when we built the new spine we built one with scoliosis so that nothing quite lines up or fits.

He looked better with Baker than he has with Chester.

The only one I would have said before hand was a risk was Gollini, I wasn't a fan of a rookie keeper in a new country. Jedinak and Elphick both had rave reviews from former clubs fans though, I don't get why they have been so abysmal.

I always thought Jedinak looked slow and poor on the ball

Everyone seemed to rate him though so I assumed I'd just not seen enough

He's been far worse than I feared though! At least so far.

I remember the last player that was a fans favourite at his previous club, a Mr Habib Beye.

He has, but that being said, Chester has looked by far our best defender. Steady(ish), but still bang average.

Not be of the current crop need to be world beaters to look better than last year. We simply don't have Laursen, Mellberg or McGrath any more

I think the keeper will come good (well I hope so), remember other foreign keepers who took time to adjust, though to be fair he was at man u. Elphick has to improve but Bournemouth mate raves about him, as for Jedinak I wonder if the legs have gone, but maybe give him a bit more time

Yes my cousins are cherries ST holders and rave about him too. The only thing they've got right about him is his pre match ritual with the goalpost
