It's a league where you can accumulate 100 points...and still lose 10 games.

Perspective is needed on here as we will still lose and draw games down there. Probably be even worse than in the prem as most won't have heard of half the players down there.

I don't mind our start though...4 of first 7 at VP so really chance to get some good home form going for first time since the ice age. Good early testers in Sheffield and Derby aswell to see how good the new signings are.

Where can I find our full fixture list? Can't see it anywhere, but it could be that I'm having a senior moment!!

They're on the OS now

One bonus though was going through the fixtures and looking at all the games and seeing absolutely no reason why we can't get a result in any of them, as opposed to skipping over the annual surrenders at home to Man United and Arsenal etc.

Looking at the dross we're playing at home in the first few games, the reality has dawned that we're in  the Mickey Mouse leagues.

Will you still be saying that if most them beat us?

April looks ridiculously full. In the unlikely event we have a good FA Cup run I'm not sure how we would get all the games in.

Think we should just be worrying about competing in the league and see anything else as a bonuis.

Our aim should be to go up in the top two. Anything else is unacceptable.

Beating the likes of Rotherham, Huddersfield, Forrest and Brentford at home should be a necessity.

I agree.  But the Championship is a much harder league than people give it credit for.  And don't you think that we will be like a marked target to those sides.  My personal feeling is that we are looking at the Playoffs at best. Don't see us going up top two.

If there had been no takeover, then I might agree.

However, given the new impetus Xia has brought and the funds that will be available to strengthen on top of players who are better than anything else down there in Ayew, Grealish et al,  then it has to be an automatic spot, as anything lower would be a massive under achievement.

We may well be a side the bumpkins cannot wait to play at first, but getting off to a flyer will soon have people looking at us as a write off bonus fixture.

Rotherham is first home game.  Haha.  Well done Randy - from Rotterdam to Rotherham!  I suppose it had to be...

Happy memories of Sheffield Wednesday first away game under Big Ron - we should take a few up there this time too....

Away at Small Heath on a Tuesday night. That should be tasty.

Fulham, Newcastle, SHA, Cardiff, Blackburn, Norwich, Wigan, Reading. Wolves, QPR.

10 of the 24 we've played in the prem as recently as 2012.

Some of the other ones we haven't played recently Derby, Sheff Weds, Leeds etc we know well anyway.

Looking forward to Brighton away, hope they don't mess with that fixture re kick off time.

December is looking like it could be a key month.  Leeds twice and Norwich are big fixtures.  And who knows how important the closing fixture against Brighton might be.

If there had been no takeover, then I might agree.

However, given the new impetus Xia has brought and the funds that will be available to strengthen on top of players who are better than anything else down there in Ayew, Grealish et al,  then it has to be an automatic spot, as anything lower would be a massive under achievement.

Only time will tell on the takeover.  Extra money isn't always a surefire way to success.  It should help, but lets wiat and see what the squad/team looks like come the kickoff.

I looked at Wednesday's results against the other top 5 in the league and they're draw merchants it seems. Lost 1 and drew the other 4 at home and lost 2 and drew the other 3 away.
