Apologies if this is up somewhere else? Was gonna include it in the Happy Rotterdam Day but thought it may get lost.

You'd think we'd learn our lessons from history.

I forwarded it to a bloke at work and he said he'd seen something about it on FB earlier and mentioned there was comments on there about Morley saying how the players had used it to piss in. Vaguely remember Chico Hamilton III telling me about that part a few years back. 'Villa's cup, fill it up'!

Didn't realise some clown actually nicked it and drove it to Sheffield whilst pissed and it got chucked down the stairs. I suppose Villa had the last laugh though if all the players were pissing in it and then a bunch of Sheffield students were drinking beer out of it. Hopefully there was a bit leftover for the South yorkshire police to savour.

Classic yarn and probably the last but one time (Liverpool '84?) an old school English team won it and properly celebrated it. What a team, too.

Thanks for posting. I particularly liked that the police officers picked two teams and played for the European Cup!
