I'd take eleven Alan Huttons with all his inadequacies as a footballer any day of the week for his attitude alone.  Far superior in attitude than any other of his so-called team mates.  He gets a lot of stick on here with comments like he just kicks people.  Well maybe he does but, at least he cares enough to  kick which is more than can be said for most of the others.  New signings notwithstanding.

Like getting pointlessly sent off against Chelsea, which seemed to get a lot of admiration at the time.

Because apparently kicking somebody hard and not having to bother playing anymore really shows that you care, rather than being the act of a cowardly shitehawk.

That's not just us in fairness. It seems to be every set of fans who ridiculously applaud their player who has just been sent off.

It's moronic

He's a very limited footballer. At times when I look at both of our full backs I honestly wonder how the hell they made it as professionals.

If we had amavi and bennet available how the hell did cissoku get first choice?

thought first half midfield with Westwood and Gardner looked ok. Gardner goes off and we go to shit. Please have tish and Gardner not Westwood.

i would ayew firstly pass the ball. Lost count how many times he lost possession by being just greedy. And i would tell him to stay in the final 3rd and stop coming deep.

if you play gestede play 442 with width. Its that simple.

Is there actually such a thing as first choice in a pre season friendly?

What the hell was Baker doing for their second, he tries to make up for it but the real worry is how him and Hutton are almost level before the ball goes past the HW line, yet only one person is busting a gut trying to get back. (It isn't Hutton)

Also for their third, Hutton is behind two of their players all the way until it goes in the back of the net, what the hell...

How on earth anyone says the full-backs were good or are good is utter nonsense.

Cissokho's pass for their first was a bit special as well.

Any defence with Baker, Clark, Hutton and Cissokho is going to struggle...each and every single one of them is likely to make a mistake whether it be caught out of position, bad pass, poor clearance or bad tackle. Its literally a disaster waiting to happen and most of the time they are incapable of making amends for their mistakes. The only good thing is that Guzan has been taken out of that catastrophic equation so thats one less idiot to worry about.

Agree KRS but am sure Okore and Amavi would be better options longer term, maybe even Lyden at right back ?

First time I've seen the second and third properly

Baker completely at fault for both in my view. Trying to play (possibly beyond his ability) Cissokho for the first

Being optimistic, I'll say he's less likely to try somethi like that in a week's time . . .

Cissokho, Hutton and Baker are all absolutely gash.

I honestly think we need to be realistic about some of these players. Cissokho is positionally one of the worst players I've seen at Villa in a long time. Baker is incapable of concentrating for more than ten minutes at a time, and Hutton is a blustery, charge-around-a-lot-to-hide-your-deficiencies player of the Micah Richards type (and he's fucking shit, too).

The thought of relying on any of these arseholes for any length of time next season scares me to death.

Hutton was signed by TSM1. TSM2 dumped him in the bomb squad, only for two years later and a loan spell in Spain, then recalled into the squad. STAGGERING.

TSM2 tried other full backs Lowton & Bacuna to provide the magical width to feed Benteke and the current Donkey.

Full backs are designed to defend. They can overlap at best.

Hutton cannot defend - he thinks he is modern attacking right back - he is not. (Asking a full back to be an expert at defending and then provide crosses to strikers - a la Walker of Spurs has it's limitations. - For example could you put two socks on your feet at the same time?) No you cannot.

His effort is commendable. Alas, within our darkest moments we praise a player who is just not good enough for ASTON VILLA and has never been.

If we play the likes of Hutton we deserve to be where we are and where we are going.
