any team with justhead, pointy boy and the grinning fuckwit in it is going to struggle

just like it did in the previous 38 games

fuck me is it really that difficult for managers to grasp?
I'm stuck on Pointy Boy?

Westwood.
Fuck me, I was thinking, "Who has hair like Simon from the Inbetweeners at Villa".

The team is no stronger than last season which was the worst in living memory.

Continuing with that line-up and playing like that, the only way we will be getting out of the Championship is via the relegation trap door.

We've seen time after time what most of them can (or can't) do. Feeling disillusioned before a ball is kicked in anger.

Well if Dr X and RDM don't start getting active bringing players in sharpish, then the clubs aim of getting promoted at the first attempt is nothing more than a pipe dream. This squad has been rotten to the core for a few seasons now, and just 3 new players coming in doesn't change that in the slightest. There's a few weeks of the window to go but August could be a very shit month in terms of results, and if they don't address the blatant inadequacies of this squad then a shit month will soon become a shit season.

So much for the "We spend 20,30,40, even 50 Mirrion on players"

Same old rubbish, we are in for a hard season unless we bring in some quality players.

Not looking like a ding dong at Villa Park this season more like a Ping pong with last seasons shite squad.

I'm putting it out there, I laughed.

Been out all day so just heard the score but it sounds grim.

As I said last week I wasn't impressed one little bit by our play against Nantes and if Boro are taking the piss at VP then that dosen't bode well either.

We need some new players, I'm surprised even some people on here are struggling to grasp it. We aren't getting promoted with Bacuna and Westwood as week in week out starters.

So predictable, you could see this coming a mile off. Lack of investment yet again.

This.  We are nowhere near ready and the season starts next week.  Wheres the 30 million Carsen Xia promised?

we need a lot of simultaneous action next week. Not players out then players in, but both at the same time. Wednesday will win easily if the team today is the team next Sunday.

Am I the only one who thinks Grealish is a complete waste of space?

Another Lee Hendrie!

Clearly thinks he's better than what he is, he won't be able to take the physical play from opposing teams this season and will go hiding.

Get rid!

We have started where we finished last season. I think it may take a little while to get back  in to the top division. But this we knew however this result isn't going to do much for the hope of hanging on to our better players. If we  beat Wednesday next week and  all is well.

I find your comments & user name racist and they offend me. Could you at least change the former? We get it, he is Chinese. They have an accent.

I am not a mod just a fellow fan offended by it and I am asking you.

Please stop with the purile impressions.

Thank you.

Well we were beaten,by a poor Boro team we couldn't hold a good defensive shape, by constantly using the fullbacks high up the pitch, we tend to be wide open on the counter. Imho until we become hard to beat we are going nowhere.

I had hoped the team we saw today would be the one we start at Wednesday, but I still can't believe we're waiting for our first choice strikeforce eight days before kick-off. In my opinion, it should have been the overriding priority. You so very rarely see a player just played because we had a gap to fill like Gestede was today. An absolute waste of everybody's time.

well I was another who only stayed till half time, I thought we looked quite good, I was impressed with grealish, and he did get a bit of unnecessary attention from the boro, but his attitude seemed good and I'm hopeful. it was a friendly and it always looked that way.

anybody notice the pitch??  they've shrunk it!! its shorter and narrower, whys that ??

In order for a Dog shit pie not to be a dog shit pie, you have to start by taking the dog shit out of it.

Exactly - too many of the same shit players as last season looking as shit as they ever did.

We have got a really large amount of player buying to do. Thus far almost no sign of it happening.

Given that, why would anyone expect anything different?
