Well that was a lacking performance.....

lacking in pace, mobility, strength, skill, creativity and desire (I know it was a friendly but...)

Hutton and Baker can be the only players who performed anywhere near to the level required to get out of this division.

Amarvi should have come on after their first goal, Ayew played too much across the line rather than forward, Westwood too lightweight,Gardner too one paced, Grealish too Lazy, and LumpofLead never looked like moving faster than an amble all afternoon

oh dear it had better get better because this could prove to be embarrassing

Ayew playing too deep
Gustede not good enough
Westwood cack
Defence a worry

Apart from that, all good

A much needed wake up call for RDM to realise the amount of shit he has at his disposal if he hadn't realised it already. We can't afford to carry passengers and we've got a whole coach load at VP that need dropping off and replacing.

Whilst I disagree with cdbullyweefan that Hutton and Cissokho aren't shit, I agree that our priority needs to be midfield and up front as we quite simply will never win games if we can't create or score goals.

I do hope RDM is not just another yes man who's been told to make do.

Surprised anybody has mentioned the sauntering, seemingly self obsessed Jack Grealish. he will need to do far more than that during the season.

Not sure about seemingly self obsessed but I am questioning what is the point. A classic example of all fart no shit? I hope not but right now you can count his good games on your thumbs.

RDM was quoted a few days ago in the B'ham Mail that he's in no hurry to sign a striker. How half-soaked is that? It's been a requirement all summer and he's done nothing.

Well, we're not getting out of the division with that squad. What really fries me is that Middlesbrough were crap. They said in the commentary that two goals came from two balls being lost up front - so what, can we not afford to lose the ball there now? What about organisation, or awareness, or even just leaving more than one defender back? We have been shite at the back for so long that the denominator is the players we have; they may run all day but they don't know how to defend as a unit. And what was the point of Gestede? If you know you're not going to be crossing, you're voluntarily playing with nine outfield players. It's insane.

All told, I don't see anything different than from last year. Naïve, lightweight and lacking any kind of game management. That match has pissed me off big time.

Only watched the first half. Looks like I made a sensible choice then judging from the comments. Last season at this stage we were all quite positive. Not expecting anything of note this season unless Xia gets his hands off the keyboard and puts them in his pocket.

So predictable, you could see this coming a mile off. Lack of investment yet again.

So much for the "We spend 20,30,40, even 50 Mirrion on players"

Same old rubbish, we are in for a hard season unless we bring in some quality players.

Not looking like a ding dong at Villa Park this season more like a Ping pong with last seasons shite squad.

You got the benefit of the doubt with your user name. You don't with your first sentence. That's your first and only warning.

Grealish does nothing noteworthy pretty much every time he plays. I want him to do well but I hardly ever see what he brings to the team.
