I wonder if the bloke from Homes under the Hammer was there?
Martin Roberts?

Strikes me as more of a rugger type guy.

Shame, I love him.

Looks a bit like a reserve side tonight bar for a couple, I'd like to know what RDM was looking at tonight, particularly with throwing in some players who we seem to be selling imminently?

Yep, which suggests that the team that played on Saturday is pretty much going to be the starting XI for Hillsborough.

*waving*. Walking home. Green is bloody good. Sanchez is pants.  The baiting of Bacuna has to stop.  Night all.

Agree Brian. The constant baiting of players needs to stop because it will derail our attempts to go back up. It's over, move on. We went down it was shit. But if the manager picks Bacuna or Lescott or Gabby we have to give them the best chance to succeed both individually and as part of the team.

Generally agree but fuck Gabby. He deserves all he gets and got away with it last year.

I don't want him to play a single minute for us ever again.

I would be very impressed with Xia  if he paid up the years remaining on Agbonlahors contract and got him out of the club.

Agree entirely and with Brian. If fans are going to get on player's backs whilst we're going for promotion, then we don't need their support.

Agree with the sentiment but if it was our money mmmm  Doubt it - I would begrudgingly pay the lump and make him clean the shithouse if need be for the duration of his contract

Paying a footballer off as a "punishment" is nothing of the sort

it is our money, and has been our money while he has been prancing around the pitch for the last 4 years taking the piss

I agree, although if you had asked me in May my response would have been less pragmatic.

As far as the manager and coaches are concerned they can only judge on what they see and if individuals are working hard and showing that they have something to offer then he is probably going to want to use them.

No, no, no! :-) this club has been a charity to workshy Gabby for last 3/4 years, giving him a lump sum to walk away and get another contract on top of his pay off is more sickening than keeping him and not playing him

This commentary is gloriously amateur.

Thats because it is.  105 is a community radio station run by volunteers and funded through fundraising.  Its based in a garage round the corner from my house.

He could probably get a contract out of some gullible Chinese or American team. It would be worth paying half his contract to get rid of him rather than being stuck with him as Tottingham were lumbered with Adebayor for half of last season.

I agree with you we have to put last season behind us and move on and get behind them this season.

For anyone who went. Did the players look good? Who played well? Who didn't? Did they look in better condition than at the same stage last year?
