24 hours later and I'm still feeling the "after glow" of the support at yesterday's match, Classic - "glad I was there" moment

The match wasn't up to much; but I wouldn't have missed it for anything. I'm still smiling and watching the beach balls, over and again. It was great to see the whole stadium getting involved, great support. The only thing good about the club at the moment, is the fans.

Would love to know what Ayew, was thinking when he stood there watching it.

Maybe there could be a insert the caption competition.

Weird isn't it. We will look back on yesterday as an historic afternoon. Like the 2-1 defeat against Bolton when we decided we'd had enough of McLeish.

Ah, yes, the glory years, as they now seem.

The end of he season seemed to have been greeted with total indifference at Manchester City today for a team about to finish third. Compare that to the noise generated by the Holte yesterday and I'm proud to be associated with fellow supporters who would appear to forgive this sorry team almost anything in exchange for a few decent performances. Like others, I'm glad I attended what was a show of support for the club, and for each other, not the players. I hope the Premiership misses us because if it doesn't, then it's not worth being there anyway.

Translation: For years we've been sulking like children because a couple of blokes made banners, we've been bigging up for weeks how this game would be 'revenge' or 'karma', we were giving it large outside about how it was a nailed on win which would make us safe and now we're blubbing because the Villa peed on our chips.

Newcastle fans don't seem to have much of a sense of humour, they're all in a right strop over those banners.

They thought they'd turn up yesterday and have a right laugh at us. It was going to be their redemption.

But it wasn't as we were in party mode and then their day turned to shit, much to our amusement.

As for Ayew, I thought he looked annoyed in the video, like he was cross with us!!

Agreed, I think they were hoping to get one over on us but their taste for revenge backfired due to their own team's utter lack of fight.

There was a young Geordie woman on Witton lane after the game in a very aggressive mood shouting " where's your party then you c#*ts?" The police nearby were observing and waiting in case she incited anything but nothing happened whilst I was passing. She was the exception, as most just seemed resigned to their fate.

I've never met a soul who gives a fuck about Newcastle United, why would they? A team from the other end of the country with their own rivalries. It's a few bedsheets, a bit of fun in an otherwise completely forgettable few seasons.

Fuck off, we really don't care that much if your stay up, go down, whatever. Self-important blubbing twats.

I spoke to two Newcastle fans on the walk back up past Aston Hall, one was very amiable, discussing the game, complaining about Newcastle not bothering to even try and win the game.

The other probably wrote this article, would only talk about how sad the banner and our fans were for celebrating a 0-0. When I pointed out we've lost 11 on the bounce up til now and are only on 16 points, his only reaction was still to talk about the banners and inflatables.

Is that a spoof ??

No, they are so far up themselves it's beyond parody.

And to be fair to them, the majority of the comments said what a twat the writer was.
