That was shit.

You knew it was gonna be shit after you dropped your fanzines all over the floor, twice!

Great atmosphere, awful game. Credit as always this season to the Holte end for showing what this club is truly about, rather than the overpaid clowns on the pitch.

Black is so infuriatingly negative, I half expected him to pull off his mask to reveal McLeish. The game was crying out for Adama to rip into the Newcastle defence for the last quarter of an hour, but the dimwhitted jock hasn't got the bottle to make the change.

Exactly. The atmosphere was the best all season but there was no reward on the pitch and Black's tactics were unfathomable.

We weren't quite as poor as usual but they were poor too,  though they had good chances at least.

Gana, Sanchez and Westwood created nothing as usual and Sinclair ran about but to no effect whatsoever.

I suspect they'll be the team that bounce straight back next season.

Disgraceful from Black, some credit to the team for doggedly playing to his game plan.

Adama not brought on until right at the end and his run past a Newcastle defender before being fouled was our one moment of anything approaching enterprise in the whole game. Sums it all up I guess.

Adama Hepburn-Murphy?

That's the one.

I blame a dodgy stream and clenched teeth. If that was Hepburn-M then he has acquired an impressive amount of muscle for a young lad. It was still the only bit of enterprise I saw from Villa all afternoon, and that from a tactical clock exhausting sub. Fuck off, Black.

You'll tell me now that he's actually only 9 stone; I blame a dodgy stream and clenched teeth.

US  villa fans we were amazing,  I love Aston Villa. we will keep this movement moving, eric the unready can fuck off at full time against arsenal, I spoke to Charlie AITKEN  before the game and he qualified lerner is unable to accept any criticism and that is why Sir Mervin and Mr Berstene quit, lerner just wanted puppets, he can fuck off the buffoon , and on 74 minutes omg you were all Brilliant, I am proud to be one of your number.

I really enjoyed today despite the abysmal anti-football from Black. The atmosphere was tremendous.

I really enjoyed today despite the abysmal anti-football from Black. The atmosphere was tremendous.

This is what Lerner and his lackeys never got - football is all about the fans - All it needed today was to show attacking intent with 20 minutes to go and the place would have gone into positive hyper-drive - but no the twat Black punished us for daring to question his 35 years experience. Well Eric I've coming to the Villa longer than that so I trump your shit experience and call you out as the dullard you show yourself to be.

We need to keep this level of commitment going into next season - all we need is a little on-pitch excitement.

Top day in a season of shit...

I came away from the game with my faith and hope restored. Nothing to do with the team's performance of course, but while there is so much love for our club in the stands it can never die.

And if there is the tiniest, tiniest crumb of comfort in this catastrophe of a season, it is taking those sulky, self-important tw*ts with us.

That game was the antithesis of football. No skill, useful possession or attacking threat. Newcastle played like their season was over. I really wish he had thrown Traore on with 15 to go as if nothing else it would have given us a simple out ball.

I was in the upper Holte and the support was fantastic. It was strange because it was flat before the game and Newcastle fans were making loads of noise. Once we kicked off their support seemed overcome by nerves.

I spoke to a couple of Geordies after the game. They were pretty miffed at their players who showed an amazing lack of fight and desire to win. They reckon they have been shit all season, though I did point out they had no idea what truly shit looks like.

Villa fans were a class act today. Great atmosphere and dignity throughout. Respectful of those Villans departed this year. Supportive of the behind the scenes staff when thanks for their work was tannoyed. Always proud to be a Villa supporter but today was special.
Nufc fans anonymous. If we were still scrapping to avoid relegation the Villa fans would have been singing their hearts out. Game not up to much but it was sweet almost condemning the geordies with s'land winning. UTV....VTID
