There is no safer ground than the New Den. Avoid Tower Bridge and the pavement dancers and you'll only see half a dozen cap ends offering you out from the second tier of a stand.

You might get penned in on  the school playground while the hard of thought are pushed on, but that's about it. I wasn't around in the 70s, but I doubt that it was anything like the other year. The was trouble before that game bet you won't have seen it.

Like Brian,i will give Leeds a miss next season .For years i use to go to Leeds home matches if Villa were not playing .My best mate who lived in Brum but was Leeds mad use to invite me on to their supporters coaches which picked up outside the Rotunda. Was a strange feeling sitting amongst hordes of Leeds fans but they were fine about it.

One thing i did discover was just how evil some of the Leeds fans were .They were always up for the games against the better supported clubs like Villa and i was thankful i was with my Leeds mate at times.Another ground worth missing if they come up is Bradford ,i have been there three times and three times it has kicked off.

Anyone know anything about Gana and Ayew 'confronting' fans at Watford as being reported in the Express and Star?

Another day: another slice of crap concerning our broken club. Smashin'. That said, I guess at least there's a wee bit of comedy value in players having hissy-fits in front of the Elton John Stand.

I've only ever been to Leeds once, we drew 1-1 and Hassan Kachloul (rememeber him) scored a belter for us. I thought it was ok to be honest, didn't have any trouble at all. We even drank in a pub with a few of them in and they were fine.

The stand with the lyrics wrote along the top. You can't buy class.

There's never any bother with Leeds at Elland Road.

I went nearly every season in the 90s until they went down, never saw any bother.  Decent fans, on the whole.

Millwall must be one of the safest away games now. You are kept in for ages after the game, in the compound at the side of the stand. If you keep quiet and don't gob off its safe to get to there's a caged gulley straight off the train station to the away end.

You could argue that if you're kept in for ages and you have to walk through a caged Gulley, it's not safe.

About five of us drank in the Torch before the Wembley 96 final - it was choc full of Leeds, and they were absolutely brilliant. Loads of banter, no bother, really good lads.

I would imagine that the problems won't be so much at the likes of Leeds and Millwall, but, regrettably, rather at places where certain sections of our support will rock up and act both hard and like they're slumming it.

Leeds was where the copper tried to attack us in the car park. Baton wielding whilst on horse back like some medieval knight. Made all the better because we had no idea why.

Yeah I was thinking that. There shouldn't be any Billy big bollocks behaviour. Turn up in our droves to support the lads and remember were playing at those grounds because we (the team anyway) deserve it.
