To concede equaliser - typical Villa since dawn of time. To then collapse immediately again..... Last five years summed up in two minutes

Would be laughable if it wasn't so concerning.  Inevitable really when we went down to ten.

Tactically bringing Sinclair on was complete suicide.
Sabotage. I'm convinced of it an absolute disgrace

Ghana was injured.  Maybe he thought Sinclair would add more energy than Vertout.  Was Sinclair at fault for the goals?

The thoughts of Eric Black:
"My team are winning 2-1 with 2 minutes of normal time remaining. But we only have 10 players and we're losing the possession battle. I need to change it. I know, I'll take off my hardest working defensive midfield player and replace him with my ineffective winger!"

I'd actually forgotten what it was like to be gutted after a Villa result, rather than just accepting it as inevitable.

You have to hand it to them. It takes a special collection of individuals to be so utterly inept and happless. How professionals in any line of work can collude to be so useless is well beyond me.

Well, what can you say. That one was a really impressive defeat. I thought they'd found every way to lose already but I was wrong. Well done all.

What you mean in the team that was winning 2-1 right up until the 90th minute?

very poor re organisation after the sending off.

Bacuna - right centre back - wtf, Toner was exposed out at left wing back

should have just gone 441

Abdi should have been sent off too, ref bottled giving him the second yellow when he took down Sinclair

Positives - Ayew looked a class above, Westwood very good, Gestede combined well with Ayew, players put in a shift generally

But given the soft underbelly in the team, you just knew 2-1 wouldnt be enough, we had enough chances to kill it off too

Special mention to Carlos Sanchez, did he even get a touch when he came in?

I wasn't at all surprised when RedSox sent those last two texts. Not even any joy watching Bromsgrove today as they lost 2-0. Football is wank.
