Im gutted Villa are going down and that the season has gone so bad
but a lot of fans were pathetic today.
Booing your own team and players and hurling abuse at them is so detrimental
I was ashamed to be a Villa fan at the game today
Think you'll find you might be in the minority there

Maybe the vitriol has gone over the top. Not all the players deserve to be castigated. Being not very talented is not their fault.
Some players have let us down very badly and we need to be rid of them but others need encouragement and simply wither under the onslaught of venom.

You are right of course, but I only booed the wankiest of them, not all of them, I was quite specific

Guzan, Lescott, Richards and Bacuna are the ones who get the vitriol in that lineup. They deserve it and it's Eric Blacks fault for playing them when everyone can see that their inclusions are detrimental. None of them have a future here so we should drop them immediately.

How about we show a bit more intelligence and not call folks that have a different opinion a sha fan? Not to mention it pisses us off which is why it's in the site rules not to do it. So knock it on the head.

You really think that if we didn't boo or abuse the players the performances would improve? I think the fact that we have lost 25 games this season kind of dispels that theory. Plus it isn't just the performances, though they are pretty abject, it's the couldn't give a shit attitude, the laughing after making a mistake, the not performing the basic requirement of putting in some effort and most of all the crass insensitivity of the players post match and in their personal lives. I've sat through some shit performances this season and paid £550 for the privilege as well as the cost of travelling to a number of away games, so I think,  given all that I have earned the right to vent my spleen from the first whistle to the last.

We are all pissed off yes but I do think performances would improve. Does it matter? No, the odd draw or win doesn't matter now.

I was talking to a mate at the Bromsgrove game today and he said something I thought i'd mention. He was at Warwick on Thursday, and a late equaliser for Warwick meant that Bromsgrove's title hopes were as good as over. After the final whistle some of the players were devastated, one even went to the Bromsgrove fans and was apologising for letting them down and my mate said you could see he really meant it. These are players at step 6 of the pyramid that don't get paid for playing.
Very few of ours strike me as giving a flying fuck we are being relegated. Ain't the PL grand?

Had to laugh at the "Lescott is a Goat" banner in the lower NS. I think the lads got thrown out?

Also comedy the photo of Hollis with a "Proud History, What Future" card in his hands....see the Meaning Evil site...

Worth remembering that Black is ex-Cov so no doubt hates us like them wankers do.

Well put. I dont enjoy seeing our own players abused by us but lets face it, they have made it abundantly clear they do not want to be here, dont like us, dont give a shit this club has bene relegated by them and are marking time to try and leave.

Given that I dont begrudge fans giving it a boo if it gives them some comfort after this terrible season.

The club should be grateful anyone shows up at all.

The biggest problem we face is that the majority of our players are not 'professionals ' in all senses of the word.they are just professional  in the sense that they pick up a load  of money from us

It says it all that the first goal was at least a yard offside and no one is claiming that a bad decision gave us a mountain to climb.

Amid all the crap and dissent, Westwood has kept his head down and kept going. He deserved his goals today. Black needs his bumps feeling for picking Richards and Lescott together, as a partnership it has never looked at anything other than a disaster waiting t happen.

Toner looked very nervous when he came on, but acquitted himself well, which is a great deal more than can be said of the player he replaced. Hutton took it seriously and got a bash on the head for his trouble, Grealish showed a bit of confidence on the ball and that was about it.

If it hadn't been four it would have been 6 or 7. Bacuna's ball over the top was an absolute killer pass. Still, I guess you just have to grin and bear it.

But he's no Sid Cowans is he ? Where has all the talent disappeared to ? Think of all those we've lost including Albrighton for example ! Ideal for crosses to Gestede.........but no. Crosses for Leicester instead. It's a travesty.
