Collymore has just said we spoke to Nigel Pearson this week

Please tell me it's to inform him that his application was laughed at, then thrown in the bin.

I know what you mean, but on the other hand it would prove that RL is in the process of relinquishing control as there is not a chance in hell that he would consider Pearson as a candidate. I am inclined to believe SVC and bet on NP as manager and new ownership before too long.

I was so busy calling Lescott a ****** for their second goal, I missed the fact that Bacuna was an even bigger ****** attempting a 90 yard back pass.
There are too many ****** to keep up with.

Im gutted Villa are going down and that the season has gone so bad
but a lot of fans were pathetic today.
Booing your own team and players and hurling abuse at them is so detrimental
I was ashamed to be a Villa fan at the game today

Watching that Bacuna 'pass' again I'm struggling to believe that was an error it was so horrendous.

Thanks for sharing. I'm sure the players appreciate how you feel. I'm also sure that those people facing redundancy because the players refuse to turn up fit or bother to turn up at all, also feel upset about booing their own players.

Detrimental, how?

Had we applauded the team, every kick, every tackle, every shot, what difference would it have made?

We might have won the game; fair enough.

Would it have saved us from relegation; y'know, that thing that became a mathematical certainty last Saturday? Um, well, actually no.

What has been more detrimental is a custodian who has gone into hiding across the pond.
What has been more detrimental is seasons of austerity, of chopping and changing managers.
What has been more detrimental is professional-footballers (sic!) treating the club like a holiday camp.

So, actually, if its all the same to you I will continue to boo and abuse the people that I think have let us all down, thankyou very much.

That's quite interesting, as it's been the one thing that's made me proud to call myself a Villa fan this season.

I think under normal circumstances I could possibly understand your point, but after suffering the despicable treatment and performances from club and players, they deserve everything they got today and pretty much every other match day this season.

Maybe the vitriol has gone over the top. Not all the players deserve to be castigated. Being not very talented is not their fault.
Some players have let us down very badly and we need to be rid of them but others need encouragement and simply wither under the onslaught of venom.
