He'd say "pay players illegally. And if the opposition get a penalty at the end of a game, kick the ball away as far as possible so as they can't take it and the ref will blow for full time." Or at least until the FA get wise to it and invent injury time because we did that.

We still have to play games?

Really? Can't we just forfeit the remaining matches? Might as well do, the result will be the same.

Isn't it an automatic 3-0 loss is we forfeit a game? That sounds like a pretty good deal to me - same result but we wouldn't have to wash any kit afterwards

We have a duty to all  the other teams to uphold the competitive integrity of the League. Losing by a couple of goals or getting stuffed out of sight 6 or 7 may have a bearing on their final positions. What would Mr McGregor say ?

I'd like to think he'd have some sort of gallows humour about him and recognise an attempted joke when he sees it. And he'd probably say "fuck the other teams, I only care about Villa ( and Queens Park)"

" I beg to tender the following suggestion as a means of getting over the difficulty. Disband the league system and go back to just arranging friendly fixtures. Whatever was I thinking ? Bloody silly idea ! "

That's it. It's liberating when we can laugh at ourselves.

The only use for this game is it's another chance to protest against the little coward.

I can't believe they're still making us play.

Southampton will be bricking it. If they don't beat us they will be a laughing stock. The pressure is on them.

Southampton and Newcastle are the only sides could end the season having not beaten us in the league, although Saints did us in the LC. Imagine the shame if either fail to beat us. They'll probably be forced to disband because of the humiliation.

Villa to give Southampton a good thrashing, after all Joleon said the pressures off and we can expect better performances.

I see we've started printing 'we hope you enjoy the match' on the bottom of home tickets.
Possibly the most ridiculous line I've ever seen.

The phrase "going through the Motions" spring to mind - isn't "motion" a posh euphemism for "shit" - very appropriate.

Couldn't give a shit. I hope they stick another game on the big screen. Queens Park v Clyde, ideally.
