Aston Villa (R) v Southampton - Pre Match Thread

Villa v Southampton
Barclays Premier League
Villa Park
Saturday April 23
Kick-off: 3pm

Away from the news of resignations and Nitrus Oxide, there's another game to get excited about.

The first of 50 league games before Villa return to the top flight.

Easy away win

It's hard to care any more.  I'm more interested in how my fantasy team does.

I haven't cared for weeks. I feel like a Villa player.

I'm only going to boo the fuck out of the ****** on the pitch and give some air to my feelings towards Lerner.

I can see the posters now:

"Come and cheer on your already relegated team (featuring fan favourites such as Leandro Bacuna, Joleon Lescott and Kieron Richardson) against a team who have also sold all their best players over the past couple of seasons yet somehow managed to finish way above us".

Saying that, I'll be there.  Could we see a crowd below 25,000?

We still have to play games?

Really? Can't we just forfeit the remaining matches? Might as well do, the result will be the same.

What happens on the pitch this Satyrday and every Saturday going forward is irrelevant while Lerner remains owner.

It's in the boardroom the game needs to be fought and won.

Other than voting for an away win, without having to even give it any consideration, I really couldn't give a shit anymore. Considering what's being allowed to happen to our great Club, the remaining matches are totally pointless.

As being at Villa Park would would only make my blood boil for 90 minutes, I won't be using my season ticket and, have decided to go and watch a real football match, where the players actually give a damn, AFC Rushden & Diamonds v Godalming Town (I used to live in Rushden many moons ago). Glory hunter??-maybe!!

As for next season, as things were moving along with the new board, I had decided I would renew my season ticket but, after yesterday's resignations, I'm not giving another penny to this charlatan leader (more like rudderless!!)of OUR Club.

Same thrashing as last season. Don't care really - after yesterday's resignations I'm just about done with Lerner's Villa.

I'm with Skerra. I have major reservations about renewing unless we see major changes for the better in both Boardroom and on the pitch.

As regards the Saints match, 0 - something.

I don't know why but i get the sneaking feeling that this game may not be a sell-out.
