One of my all-time favourite Villa games and a great day to boot.

What a brilliant day at Wembley that was all round. Just wish it was the final.

I hadn't sorted BT Sport out at the time - and was away at my place in Tywyn. Had to go to the social club on the caravan park opposite to where I am and happily paid £5 annual fee for membership to watch the game.
There were some noses in tops who specifically had come in to support Liverpool and jumped up when they took the lead. Very quiet after that - I was jubilant and drove home immediately after the game absolutely ecstatic. What a traumatic time it's been ever since - probably starting with that embarrassing game at Southampton ( coincidently on the day survival, this time last year, was assured !

Walked out of there with my lad feeling on top of the world.
We played great, deserved the win - the future was bright again.
Seems like 100 years ago now.

We were that good on the day that even Randy decided it was worth popping over for the Final

One of the all time great Villa matches and at Wembley as well. Walked away shaking my head in disbelief, what a result......onwards and upwards, how wrong can you be!

As near perfect a Villa supporting day as i've had. Unbelievable when I think back to the QF and SF games, two of the best Villa days in my 40 years following us, and in the space of a year or so here we are having some of the worst.
