Has there been any suggestion that either of them were ill treated by Villa fans ?

There were a few Bournmouth fans in the Tavern afterward, they hadn't been hanged when I left. I'm not sure anyone cares enough now.

Presumably someone had complained otherwise they would, equally presumably, have been left alone.

Not necessarily, I've been behind people at the Trinity turnstiles who have been denied entry for wearing away colours.

Wasn't their exit just after they scored though?

See Keown has once again said the Villa Park crowd are a hard lot to please and get on the players backs very easily. It was 30 years ago Martin, get over it.

Keown is a dimwit who tries to sound intellectual.

They really are a strange lot these 'football people' who have never paid for a ticket in their lives, what exactly does he think the appropriate reaction is to watching the laziest team in the league get hammered every week having parted with the thick end of £50 for the 'pleasure'.

Of course, Arsenal fans always stand and cheer every draw and defeat that Wenger serves up. Great fans, unlike Villa's fickle bunch

They are going to do a feature on Villa. Oh joy!

Morely said  on the club commentary that he had ben invited onto it to do a interview rubbishing the club but had declined.

To balance the fan behaviour debate, over the years I have experienced numerically more violence or threats of violence from Villa fans than opposition fans. The most recent one was the incident I related at Norwich this season when I tried to stop a Villa fan kicking a skip so he started kicking me instead.  The point I am making supports Mr Shin's view that in the football mix there are potentially threatening situations everywhere, you just have to use common sense to avoid them especially when emotions are running high.

All clubs have some arseholes

You only have to go back to the opening day a couple of season's ago when we beat them at home. They would have set fire to Wenger had they got the chance and that was only after the first game.

I heard Keown say earlier in the season that he found it difficult playing at home when he was at Villa due to the demands of the supporters, not sure if they demanded he stopped having a face like a chimp. Seems he's basing it on a season from 30 years ago and we all know what happened then.

You're making it up, Arsenal fans would never do that.
