Even if it means we have little money to spend next season, I'm thinking that the club need to pay up the contracts on a few players and let them go.

I agree, but Gabby's contract alone could cost at least £6m to pay up...

Did anyone else see the Bournemouth fan and his young lad get chucked out of the lower holte at half time!? The lad must have been no older than 6. Unless I missed something, they weren't causing any grief. Massive over reaction to get them thrown out
The lad had a full kit on under his coat so it's wasn't exactly subtle. Just thought it was way OTT

They must've done something for the stewards to know they were away fans. I've been in the home end for away matches plenty of times and if you keep your gob shut you're fine.

Once the stewards know, they don't have much choice given the ground regulations state away fans will be ejected from home areas of the ground.

How many years has he got left?  Depends on his wages and if he has a relegation clause in the contract.

Put him on the transfer list and see if anybody will take him for free.  Subsidise his wages to go elsewhere could see the cost come down significantly.

Probably pointed out to the stewards by someone.  I think there has to be some kind of common sense applied to these things.  If it is a group of lads mouthing off and celebrating goals etc. then they obviously have to be removed, but a father and young son?  If there is a complaint then fine, probably best to take them out of that area, but then just escort them to an empty part of the upper Trinity or somewhere.  No need to kick them out altogether.

You have to be very stupid as an away fan to go in the home end wearing colours, even more so to take a child in wearing them. To me it's just basic common sense, if you go in the wrong end, be as incognito as possible.

Why the hell would you want to go with your six year old son into the Holte end knowing that as soon as we go a goal down and we all know that we will that the atmosphere will get nasty.
So why not go into the upper Doug Ellis stand or the upper north stand

And going into the game it's not like you wouldn't have know the situation at the club, the mood or even possible ramifications if Norwich had won and we had relegation confirmed. At any point before the game they could have changed seats to something more appropriate.

There was loads of space in the Family Stand, there was loads of space in the next block along thankfully as the lad sat next to me had bathed in cheap aftershave so we were able to move seats.

There was loads of unoccupied space in the Bournemouth penalty area, couldn't they have gone there?

I know that I'm talking about sums of money, Lerner's money, that just become numbers to us normals but....

It seems unlikely that we'll be able to sell him, so that being the case do we take one shot to the head or five to the chest?

It's time for him, and a couple of others, to be shown the door. Perhaps it'll only be Gabby that needs to be made an example of.
