That is an absolutely dire team and formation.  The only person capable of providing any sort of width is in the middle.  If you're going to pick Gestede, stick two players who can cross in, in a 4-4-2.  It's the ONLY way the guy is ever going to score any goals.  He was a crap player at Blackburn, but Blackburn just learned to bang cross after cross in for him, and if you do that, he'll get on the end of some of them.  About the only formation Garde hasn't tried is 4-4-2, but in Gestede you've got a player who almost makes it obligatory to play that way, if he's going to start.

Richards injured or dropped altogether?

He went for a walk along the beach and was harpooned by a passing Japanese whale ship.

If Okore and Sanchez were playing for Clark and Westwood I'd be a lot happier.

Spot on.

Thirded.

Yup. Two left footed centre backs. I can't wait.

And Clark is more left sided than most as has been demonstrated on a few occasions.

I rekon we'll win 3-0. Goalscorers Morley,Cowans and Withe. Shame that Gary shaw is only on the bench.

Attack Clark down the right and he's going to be turned inside out. I suppose we do have Hutton who can put in a last ditch late tackle...

He is going through the motions now.

I wish he would stop tinkering with a successful line up

One of Hutton or Clark will be sent off today I reckon

Clark's efforts at playing right sided centre half against Spurs were laughable, he can't even turn towards his right foot

Really don't get this two left centre back problem. If they were both right footed you wouldn't blink an eye, really makes no difference down the spine.

Just asked if he wanted to try anything different, Garde replied not conceding early and us scoring a goal.  Brilliant.
