It'a the inevitability of it all that depresses me. When Spurs scored their second, with about 40 minutes left, you knew that that was it. Football used to be all about passion and excitement, and there was always the hope that the team would fight back and perhaps even win from 2 down. But no longer. Once we go behind it's like watching a dull practice game with the odd neat bit of passing but no commitment or fight. I don't think I've ever been as bored watching Villa as in the last few weeks.

Just got back.
For the first time in 30 years I didn't want to be there and that makes me incredibly sad. I only went because my brother in law Spuds fan reminded me of an 18 years old promise!

I felt huge amnosity towards every single player. Somebody shouted at Lescott getting off the coach "what car do have now".

Hey Ho Silver playing pre-match nearly brought a lump in my throat as I remembered the better times (you know when we'd have a shot on goal).

When the players names were read out - nobody cheered. They warmed up in the corner of Witton and Holte well away from the hardliners probably.

Thought Gana played well and Gil in flashes. Rudy was basically a lump. The space that Rose had in the first half was shocking.

Ayew hit a shot that looked more in anger than technique. Shame they almost made it to half time scoreless so then it was a question of how many.

Some real nasty spuds sitting behind me cheering loudly and basically taking the piss out of our club the whole game in the upper trinity which was sparsely populated.

You just carry the pain as the other Villans do, shrug in resignation and hope somehow better times lie ahead.

It went more or less how I thought it would, start ok, knock it around abit, ride our luck, knock it around a bit more, fall asleep at the back andd conceed, conceed again soon after, game over, its pretty much how all our games will go until the end of the season.... I have no idea if its true or how he knows but one of the steward told us Tom Fox is a gonner tomorrow, thats about it really....

It's just quite boring watching your team and knowing that once they go behind there is absolutely no chance of them coming back. Our attack is just woefully short of quality.

Garde reckoned our first goal was down to a lack of experience. So Guzan (31), Lescott (33), Hutton (31), Cissokho (28) aren't quite experienced enough to know not to switch off when you concede a free kick? What a piss poor excuse. It's just shit. He should be tearing them a new a-hole.
As for the notion that we played some very good football during the game? Well he's in danger of reaching Lambert levels of delusion if he's not careful.

The club at the moment is a pathetic, small time, gormless shadow of itself.

It's not even Aston Villa. They carry and sully the name.

I won't be watching any more or listening to any more of their sales pitches, back covering, buck passing or their appalling excuse for 90's minutes effort. They can all fuck off.

where will those four be next season?

Portland Timbers, Retired, Sevco, Ligue 2 (on loan)

what moron gave Cissokho a three year deal last year, the mind boggles

Also some credit to the Spurs fans for starting a "Lerner out" chant and giving a load of grief to the private security clown who took the second banner.

Loved the "Lerner for Arsenal" sung by Spurs and Villa.
Thought the Spurs fans were pretty decent all afternoon.

The club need to tread very carefully. Do that on another day and they'll have more than boo's to contend with. Probably a hundred fan pile in
