Garde is not a winner.    Bye bye.

David Moyes was the man for the job and we bottled it.

He would have done a good job for us

Not with these players he wouldn't.

I'd say he'd have got a bit more out of them than Garde has done.

I think he would have got more than our current useless incumbent
He probably would have kept us up had he come in November...just...

We spoke to him. He turned us down.

I don't think some people realise what a huge effect the club betraying and lying to Remi Garde has had. And what an utter disgrace it was.
Every manager in the professional game has to deal with what they are given and every single one of them has to get results to keep their jobs. There's of course no debating who is the major reason we're in this mess, that rests on Randy, but Remi has run out of excuses now and he's clearly not the man who is going to take this club forward. Too many bridges have been burned. I don't even see the point him going through the motions until the end of the season.

I agree, his position is now untenable. But it was made so by the board.

There's working with what you've got, and there's being misled, lied to and betrayed by a club that has completely given up.

From what I heard at the Trust AGM was that we spoke to him and Moyes asked for things the club weren't willing to give him.

I doubt it. These players have been shit all season.

I think once we're mathematically doomed, Garde will start playing the kids. Most of the seniors are an absolute disgrace.

True, but I think Garde has played his part in this mess as well. He's contributed absolutely nothing to the cause, and his "I'm not getting much out of them in training" thing the other week was absolutely amateurish.
What a sorry mess this club has been turned into, but let's not forget it's been nearly 6 years in the making.

For me it all started to go wrong during the latter days of Martin O'Neil. Having successfully f**ked off our better young players and replaced them with over-payed non-entities he completely dissilussioned Lerner when he threw his toys out the pram, quit and then won an indudtrial tribunal against the club. Nothing has been right with the owner and, hence the club, since then.

Indeed. He's definitely not whiter than white. Highlight was shipping out Gary Cahill and replacing him with Zat Knight?! Then there are players like Salifou, Sidwell, Curtis Davies, and the ultimate.... Habib Beye!

Such as being given the chance to add to the squad to keep us up?

Hearing the new Lerner Out song at VP, it almost brings tears to my eyes. It's like the final cry of a mortally wounded animal. so, so, sad.

Not that I'm trying to excuse the club but signing anyone in January was always going to be an uphill task anyway. We lost out on several players who went elsewhere and we were refused a permit for that Keeper. We did try. Not that hard I grant you, but even so, Garde has to suck it up and get on with it. Sometimes a manager goes beyond the point of redemption at a club. MaClaren's position at Newcastle was untenable, even having spent a shite load on players.
Garde doesn't command his squad. He hasn't got control. No matter what you're given to deal with, if you can't get your players performing in unison, or even identify a system you feel will make the best of your situation, then you're failing.
