Thought we did ok first half but the first goal killed us like it was always going to. Predictable in the way it turned out.

The only feint, tiny spark of something maybe to be happy about - the possibility of dragging the geordies down with us on the last day of the season.

That's what I'm clinging to. It'll be like when psychopath prisoners smear themselves in their own shit before attacking the warders.

No wonder Bobby Sands MP was a Villa fan.

I note with interest that Micah Richards featured prominently in all 4 goals.  You have to admit that he doesn't do things by halves.

On the other hand, it all happened in the second half. Oh well.

The thing is, it's all too easy for the club and the players now.
Everyone knows we are down.
The club knows we are down.
The players know we are down.
No one expects us to get anything from ANY game so the players have got an easy ride.
They don't have to even bother going through the motions of trying to win a game, and fuck me aren't they good at it?

What continues to make this worse for me is that the teams around us keep losing as well. It makes our January surrender even more galling. If we'd have picked up two or three more wins since the window closed we could be out of the bottom three. It's unforgivable.

Completely agree.

The villa badge should be removed from the shirt for the rest of the remaining games they have just given up
I can't think of a worse team since I started going in 68

Only 2 things annoyed me today. Firstly Richards was picked ( note I didn't say play) and secondly Bacuna came on. Jimmy Armfield said that there is already a division between these 2 clubs and he is right. Look at the cost of their squad and ours. Realistically we didn't have a chance. However other teams 'realistically ' should have had no chance against them but through better management and commitment they have got results against them.

Going back to their first goal, was it going out for a corner before Gabby kicked it into the stand or a goal kick?

Just shows how naive our Chairman, CEO etc are

Yes this is my view as well.

Despite our appalling form, we're still not much further adrift than we were in January.

The owner shows a continuing unforgivable dereliction of duty, the board are unforgivable, the players are unforgivable (albeit untalented), and in the last month the manager as well ..unforgivable.

I don't want to see any of them at the club next season.

Apparantly Richards has a £5mil release clause , frankly if anyone watching him this season thinks he is worth that then good fucking luck.He is ab absolute liability I have no clue , not at all why he continues to be picked he offers the sweet FA.

Gana again ran himself into the ground but had zero help. The midfield as it has been for years is far to lightweight as as ever is always bullied off the ball.Sanchez is only player in there with strength so despite is dwaddling on the ball at times  is a big miss.

Lescott gets abuse but again he is the one defender holding it all together the rest of them were all over the show.Clark produced his usual poor tackling giving away a pen.

In the eyes of the board any money we spend on players going forward will resemble a gamble. The problem is none of them are gamblers. They only understand spreadsheets and cash flow forecasts. Putting forward a business plan to spend money on players will be beyond their understanding. Like any business you do have to balance the books long term but football is not like a lot of businesses and therefore you need to employ people who know how football works. That could well be where we are going wrong perhaps.

there are no words anymore
Last desperate act should be sack Garde now and appoint Pearson.
I agree but not his fault at all. Clutching at straws saying Pearson too as don't particularly like him but who else knows the championship in detail that is also available !?

I don't understand why any manager 'has to know the Championship'?
