I'm taking my little lad to this one,
it might be a while before he can visit premier league grounds again so I'm trying to take him to a few before we drop for that reason

He's only 8 and we are also meeting up with his big brother who lives up there so it's a bit of a bonus,
I'm looking forward to the day out on the train and messing around in Manchester on the trams and whatever

obviously the football will be a major disappointment but you have to make the most of the day in other areas,
and as bad as it sounds on here he really is looking forward to seeing Aguero and Kompany etc in the flesh,
I'm sorry if that goes against the grain but that's just the way I'm seeing it at the moment,
We are not worth watching, the players can't be arsed so why should we but at least I can make it a good day out with the family

Hope that makes some sense

I've booked Monday off work. Can't decide what's worse to face after a defeat, the jokes or the by now embarrassing sympathy.

Record defeat: 0–8 (v. Chelsea, Premier League, 23 December 2012).

It will be broken :( on Saturday.

4-0 will be surprised with anything less.  Specially after them getting battered tonight. Hopefully they will ease up as they have their champions league game to play next week.

Cue the backlash on Saturday. We were going to get battered anyway, it will be even worse now after their defeat tonight.

Them 5 or 6, Us 0.

Give them the points and let's not play the game. Suits all of us.

So far 16 people think we are going to win this.

Drugs or indomitable optimism?

The closest Premier League ground to where I live and an offer from a friend to go with him and use his brother's season ticket.

I've declined and am going with the missus to a matinee at the theatre.  I doubt I'll regret that decision.
