How the hell have we arrived at a situation where Bournemouth- Bournemouth!- have twice as many points as we do? Watford have got 21 points more than us and have a game in hand. Jesus wept.

When the owner abandons the club, everybody else thinks it's ok to do the same.

Never mind, though, he wants to sell. It's just that nobody's buying football clubs any more. And the club knows we're pissed off, so we don't need to tell them. Etc.

I'm with you on this one. I don't understand why we are debating a polite walkout protest rather than razing Villa Park to the ground and lynching the management in our rage. I can't express how angry I am at what's happening to our club.

Didn't we have a decent defence with Dunne, Collins and Warnock in the team? Unfair to throw them in with that other lot.

Possibly my view of Collins and Dunne is coloured by their latter days at Villa, but they certainly stopped trying once O'Neill walked.

There was sage advice on our plight from a Stoke fan on their forum. Better to show your anger sooner rather than later.

Well, for one season, we did, at least until Dunne came back from injury the size of a fucking house. Let's not forget what an unprofessional fat fuck he was.

Good player though, and immensely better than the shit we've had since.

For one whole season.

THat's precisely the problem with this club for the last ten years plus. One season. Any other club would regard that as a dreadful failure, but we're so used to fucking shit, he's seen as a great player.

And as for being better than the shit we have had since, that's the faintest of praise.

Starting to look like my 20-25 points total is a tad ambitious.

What's our lowest goal ever? I'm wondering if Randy wants to smash that record as well.

The 1974-75 side would piss all over this one.

Like others, for the first time in my living memory (am nearly 47) I didn't track the game tonight beyond an occasional flick onto the BBC website & H&V. Not that I don't care, nor that I don't love this club with a passion, simply what is the point at the moment. I commend those who went, those who walked and stayed after 74 minutes, this is our lowest point in my living memory and I lived, breathed and naively travelled the length and breadth of the country the last time we went down. That team was young/naive/not good enough; this team don't give one in the main and their leaders on and off the pitch reflect that. I feel for Garde but ultimately he hasn't changed cultures or found a way to break the malaise. For that alone, accompanied by his glum staring into space bewilderment, I can't see a way forward under him. No one can succeed under the ownership we have but he is too damaged a set of goods now, as results worsen and undoubtably won't get better this season, to turn it around this summer. Sorry if that is defeatist

All the words have been said.
All the superlatives have been used.
All the analysis has been performed.

We are a poor excuse for a football team, we are going down and getting our just desserts for the last 4 -5 years of mismanagement.
There is very little more to say.

The only thing that REALLY worries me is that the 'team' we saw there tonight will be pretty much the nucleus of the team we will see next season.
Not many of them will move on because no one will buy them. None of them are worth buying.

The thought of many of those wasters representing us again next year is very, very scary.
