My first trip to Maine Road where we all stood on the benches in the Platt Lane Stand.  You could count the number of games taking place that day on one hand due to the bad weather.  Interesting bit from John Bond on 31.20 about a certain team, although you could probably say the same about us now.

The three things I remember about this one apart from it being a good away trip are:-

1. Bloke dressed as Santa in the home end getting some stick from the Villa fans, but taking it on the chin.
2. John Bond being graceless in defeat (who'd have guessed?)
3. Them playing "Behind The Wheel" by Depeche Mode over the tannoy.

The next game up was the Liverpool FA Cup game at Villa Park (when Liverpool used to be good) and we were all well up for it after this win.
