It's harsh that they base it one race rather than performances over a season.

With absolutely no wriggle room for mitigating circumstances.

For example, if Usain Bolt had been American he would not have been gracing the Olympics with his presence.

Thank God he is there so he can hopefully Gatlin. After all this sport has been through it would be a real killer blow if he won the 100.
