That's right up there with my favourite goals I've ever seen for the club, not particularly important but it's one of the cleanest strikes you'll ever see, it's a genuine disgrace that an offside goal a few days later was somehow voted as better.

Loved that goal and the later one that went with it. Great stuff.

It was that goal (& subsequent win) that confirmed in my mind that we were going to be safe.  Great day out.

Are those Micah Richards' pre-match comments from the OS?

Stoke have an abundance of talent, but the consistency of Dalian Atkinson. This very much depends if they show up for the game and if they click on the day. If they do we're going to get completely caned. If we catch them on an off day, we might nick something. That said, I can't see us winning. I'd take a draw. That does fuck all for us of course, but I'll still take it.

We're running out of dumb ways to give games away. We've done stupid red card, goalkeeping howlers, reckless tackles giving away penalties, defence parting like the Red Sea, the lot.

I've only got referee kicking one in left on the bingo card. So I'll go with that. 1-0.

Nope. Micah said:

"I sawed what JL said the uvva day and he is right, innit. Who da fuck wants to play at Stoke when the weather is mince?"

I really liked Big John Carew's goal against Stoke a few years before that one too. His first time volley. Top class.
