Cheers for posting this Doc - remember this well - I was there, behind the goal that we scored first.  In a crowd of what seemed like about 70,000 jocks.

I miss the annual game against Scotland - although we have played a couple of friendlies against them recently and of course we've got the 2 world cup qualifiers this year and next.

In a perverse way (as much as I love the jocks) you always used to feel a bit of Blues de ja vous - they weren't bothered about qualifying for major tournaments if they beat us in the Home Internationals.

In the 1960s and 1970s for me, this game was as big as the FA Cup Final and that was BIG.
