Truro City manager Steve Tully is keen to tie striker Isaac Vassell down to a longer deal at Treyew Road, with his rich vein of form attracting interest from Football League clubs.

The 22-year-old has been in scintillating form for the White Tigers this season, scoring 11 goals as the Cornishmen have climbed into the National South play-off zone, and Tully is not surprised that clubs are keeping close tabs on him.

One of those is believed to be Plymouth Argyle, the club that released Vassell in the summer of 2014, while League Two rivals Luton Town have also had scouts watching him.

"The way he has played over the last month, it does not surprise me a host of clubs would be looking at him, and the club needs to look to tie him down," Tully said.

"He is looking like he has goals in him and it showed no better than with his goal on Tuesday night as rather than cut back onto his right foot, he took it with his left and it was a great finish. His hard work is paying off."

Vassell, the nephew of former England and Aston Villa striker Darius Vassell, played a starring role in Truro's 4-2 win over Hemel Hempstead Town in midweek, scoring once, winning a penalty and creating the fourth goal, scored by Cody Cooke.
