We should have stuck with Sherwood if moyes wasn't available.

Sherwood who said last night on MOTD that Newcastle were safe because they have signed Shelvey and Townsend?
Sherwood who signed Richards, Lescott and Gestede?

I'm sure he'd have bought better players if he was given a transfer budget worthy of Aston Villa.

What's a transfer budget worthy of Aston Villa?

Where does it come from?

He'd have already had better players had the previous managers been given the same, regardless of how useless they were personally.

All of this mess isn't the fault of this or many of the previous managers.  It's due to horrendous mistakes made at board level.

Just rung the club and cancelled my two tickets for Man City. There is a better use of £64 to have some enjoyment and it made me very sad to do it. I said "after yesterday..." at which point the girl interjected and said "I totally understand". Call me disloyal but I can't watch any more of this shit or run the risk of switching my 12 year old off forever.

Everything I feel has been said so I'm not going through it all again, it's too painful.

Can someone tell me who or what "Union Villa" are?
I ask after seeing their banner on the wall of the Lower Holte

Yesterday looked like the players are just not playing for their manager, which is inexcusable when they are being paid large sums of money by the club. They may not agree with the manager but they should honour the fans by giving their all on the pitch. If yesterday's performance was giving their all, they are even bigger cretins than I thought they were.

It seems Remi has lost the dressing room, at least for a lot of the players and who can blame players saying they want away to develop their careers when having to play with the many "dead legs" the Villa put out each match. No future at B6 in the foreseeable months ahead.

Was an odd one yesterday - the atmosphere was eerily flat before the teams came out and there was never any spark or momentum. I wonder if Garde stating in the press how poor we actually played against Norwich despite winning knocked the stuffing out of the players. The lack of a performance certainly hints at something behind the scenes. I would only give Gil any credit for trying to get things moving but had no support whatsoever.

One of Brigada's banners?
Possibly supporting Unions like Corbyn did with his badge on PMQs?

It was part of a Trade Union campaign against Zero Hours Contracts. They were handing out leaflets.

Comes to something when the biggest Villa cheer of the day was when the opposition substitute came on.
I found the applause for Benteke cringeable to be honest as I felt it signified how far we have fallen I also had to endure him applauding the 5th goal right in front of me as he warmed up, it was at this point I left.

I thought it was fair enough. If it wasn't for him, we'd have probably been in the championship a couple of season's ago.
I've got nothing against CB, it just made me feel sad that we were applauding an ex player when we were getting absolutely mullered and he himself was applauding the mullering
I think it showed our class as supporters that we were able to do so despite the utter shambles we were watching from our own team. Well done to all of us I say.

Nice touch that our players went on strike to show solidarity.

I don't remember anyone overtly criticising these signings when they were made.

As for Shelvey and Townsend - they would have been very useful too - a defensive controlling midfielder and someone with pace - what's the issue with that (price permitting)?
