I said earlier that at the moment, it's impossible to assess who you would keep for the Championship. But honestly, why would you? Westwood runs the show in the Championship, it's all smiles, but what happens when we get promoted? He's obviously not good enough. And hand on heart, even our best players are probably only good enough for about 16th-17th in the Premier League.

If Westwood runs the show in the Championship I'll give £100 notes to Acorns. He's garbage.

Westwood couldn't run a Punch & Juldy show the talentless clogger.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a Villa side as bad as they were today. Diabolical.

It's a shame for Acorns that they won't be getting a hundred quid.

You think we will sell him by then then?

No, I think he won't be very good.

Amavi, gueye, ayew, lescott and veretout have looked good in infrequent patches this year. 4 will be off, Lescott is about 47, and we'll be stuck with the rest. How can we rebuild from that?

It's the attitude of the players that really boils my piss .

Hate every single one of them .

Not one of them is fit to wear our famous colours

It all comes from the top down, unfortunately.

Bang on. The owner doesn't want anything to do with the club. The Chairman is an accountant looking to strip things back. The CEO is a corporate gobshite who knows nothing about football only pennies and the manager have been fucked around and won't commit to another season. Everything is drifting along, the only ambition is for the club to cause as little hassle to Mr Lerner as possible. There is no ambition to achieve anything, only to not be a nuisance any longer. It's a shell of a football club lacking any heart.
No one at the club REALLY cares.
Its the trickle down effect.
It comes from the very top, and if the owner doesn't give a shit, then there is no accountability.
The Chairman and the chief exec are on easy street because their boss is not demanding anything from them.

We'll need to spend every penny of the parachute money on the best Championship players who missed out on Promotion this year.  And hope for the best.

The solution, which should be being worked on behind the scenes as of now, is to look at all the players in the Championship who are obviously propping up teams that fancy their chances at promotion but won't get there, and add them to a great striker that you break the budget for. The one area we can't afford to skimp is up top, because we'll have no chance at survival in that division, let alone promotion.

I have voted with my feet this season and refuse to go. I won't be returning until Lerner and his minions have gone. I haven't watched MOTD for months and the bits of football I have seen were awful. I thought we had hit rock bottom but no, we have started drilling. There is no way we are going to avoid relegation. The transfer committee or whoever it was who thought the idea of splashing out millions on players not used to the premier league last summer should be ashamed. Thank you Randy for strangling the life out of Aston Villa.

It could be worse, in 35/36 we also lost 0-7 vs the Bitters, 2-7 vs Boro, 2-6 vs Grimsby, 5-0 vs Man City, 1-7 vs Arsenal, 5-1 vs Blackburn, 5-2 vs Sheff Wed.

Now that's a Paul Lambert Christmas.

It was frighteningly obvious from the start we were going to get a hiding today.

And this against a very mediocre Liverpool side.

Safest bet in the world as it's a Tuesday night. Even if we'd won today there wouldn't have been 36K.
