We are now only one point worse off than Leicester were this time last year. Keep the faith!!
Only problem is, Leicester this time last season were only 3 points from safety..we are 8 points from safety.

They were 7 from safety with 9 to go and hadn't won for 8 games.

Between now and the end of the season the fate of the champions and those relegated will have much to do with momentum. Which sides have just about enough to stay ahead of the pack or clear of danger. Or those that simply pick up momentum when those around are faltering. That's what Leicester did last year. That they were like a stone going downhill and irrespective of what preceded that run the momentum they generated from a few wins saw them safely across the line in the end when it looked to everyone they were dead and buried. That's why it's not over. We now have to go and beat Liverpool and continue to narrow the gap above us. We can't afford to falter.

Bunn is pretty bad, possibly worse than Guzan (but luckier)
I reckon Guzan is far worse and unnerves the whole defence.  His distribution is completely amateurish and he has cost us dearly. The defenders seem to have improved a lot since Bunn came in. It can't be a coincidence.

Momentum is the key. If we can win a few on the bounce you never know.

Yep, they were as nailed on for relegation as we are.

Leicester also ended up about 5 points clear of safety in the end so we may not have to quite match what they did, although it will take something special admittedly.

I'll be happy to stay up on GD. What Leicester did was incredible. We don't need to be that good. We just need to marginally more than the team that finishes 18th.

But it was Hull they caught and they finished 6 points ahead of them

If they keep going and get a bit of luck - it is bound to change at some point who knows.

If a player like Gil is starting to contribute more - he was actually defending well yestreday and made some important blocks and tackles - then there is a chance.

Norwich are awful and the Tesco baggies are going to implode soon - especially if they lose in the cup.

Leicester's run was incredible, but we don't need to be quite that spectacular. Something similar to our own run under Sherwood would possibly do. He arrived at this stage last season and we were 6 points better off. However, we lost the first two games of his reign and then the last two games of the season and still stayed up. If we have the same run as we had under him but turn two of those 4 defeats into wins, we finish on 38 points again.

Of course, we don't have a Benteke this year although we do have a better defence. If we can keep earning clean sheets, then we just need a couple of players (Gabby,Ayew) to pop up with four or five goals each and you never know.

It's unlikely, but it's not impossible.

I have been fiercely critical of Gabby over the years and his career will always be marked by an indifferent attitude and under achievement but doesn't his display yesterday epitomise how woeful our attacking options have been this season? Even an overweight, past his average best, clubman running the channels seemed to revolutionise our midfield in terms of attacking intent. A sort of microcosm of the Leicester/Vardy system.
If Sherwood and his employers hadn't been such incompetent arseholes and left us with even a half decent striker we would never be in this situation.

If we can get to the 37 point mark I think there are a few more teams who could get sucked into things, Bournemouth and Swansea have both had a bounce but I can still see them both struggling to get more than 35-36, Palace probably have enough already but they've been incredibly poor for the last couple of months and could easily end up sucked into it if they don't start picking up points in the next 4-5 games.  Newcastle are still a poor side and the baggies are an awful team who seem to be planning on doing it with draws, they look a lot like we did under McLeish and we know how close that got.  Like others I think Norwich are fucked adn I can't see Sunderland getting out of trouble either.  Whatever happens we need to just pick up points as often as possible and that starts by looking at teams like Man City and Arsenal and thinking we can do them over.

As much as I would like to hope, the problem is that as soon as you get past our best 11 we have some pretty awful players. It shows how crap Norwich are we beat them with Westwood and Bacuna in the team.
Any injurie in the back 4 and you have Clark and Hutton to come back or even worse Bacuna again.
I do not think Bunn is very good but if he gets injured, it's shudders the flapping Goose.
