Well it was a very wet walk  from the car to VP today, our performance in the first halfer was even wetter except  that freekick and Lescott nicely pushing Norwich player out of way and nodding it down to fool the keeper. Fantastic. Great ball from Vertout for Gabby but I did not think for second that he will score until Rudd came running out and 2-0 dream moment. After that it  rained and rained but we stood firm. People talk about luck of two off the line ....well no such thing it's just good positioning and sound defending.
Okore MotM for me. A no nonsense clear it first ask questions later defender. He does where others stand and watch.

Totally agree..okore is massive for us..he could play champions league with another decent centre  half. We cannot afford to lose him.

Well blow me over. Been to West Ham, Palace and this game. The phrase 'If Only...' springs to mind.

1) Bunn, Well not convincing and had Narwich been on the ball in the penalty area could easy have conceded a couple.
2) Richards - done well. Positional play not the best but kept their left side busy
3) Cissoko - not great but a million times better than Richardson
4) Lescott - well done,very good match
5) Okore - see Lescott
6) & 7) Bacuna and Westwood. Well they weren't the worse 2 players on the pitch so that was improvement on normal level
8 Gana - excellent game. Proper red wine player
9) Gill - frustrating that he cut back, inside, didn't create enough but that said a great shift for the team. Consistently showed as the out ball, occupied their players and ran all day
10) Gabby - well done. Can we have 10 more of those this season. In fact 8 and we'll call it quits and you'll be good enough to stay in the Top League next season. With us or someone else. Better late than never.
11) Ver-tut - see Gana

How was Gab today apart from his goal ?
After the goal - very very good. Worked hard

He did - even in the first half his positional and anticipation play was mile better than it has been for what seemed years.

Yes really bizarre from Pulis.

Even take away the weird obsession and strange timing, it doesn't even make sense.

"How do you excuse the fact that you didn't create any chances against the team in 18th place?"

"Well, another team in another game created chances and scored from them. So that shows you".
[/quote

Or we were playing a crap team and created nothing whereas the worst team in the league managed to create chances against an equally crap team. And that's your justification.......

fucking Prick

The start of the Greatest Escape?

Too late - as someone posted we have 5 games where realistically we'll get bugger all. That means 8 games and we have to win 7.

I may have been reading too much into it, but was convinced Garde was going to go all the way to full time without using any sub's as if to say 'there just isn't anyone of sufficient quality to bring on'.  It looked to me as if the assistant manager had to convince him to make the change when Clark came on.

I'd need serious convincing to bring on Clark too.

Me too unless it was to dishout the Lucozade sport

Well there's a good chance we won't finish bottom. Norwich are absolutely rotten.

And we'll finish above Sunderland.

So... only one more to go.

Pffft, they obviously didn't watch the Wycombe replay. Being 2-0 up is getting old hat now.

But rob it's 13 games you can not remove games that we possibly can not win and then start. Out of 13 we need to win 6 and draw 3 so we can lose 4.
