I originally hoped for a Villa victory on the back of a few new signings and the associated boost in morale. Now, I only see defeat and a heavy one at that. Garde (and his team) and the fans will be the only ones that care.

Always a pleasure to read Sendo's thoughts. Saw the Irons with a West Ham-supporting mate at Newcastle the other week. Was looking forward to watching some fast, fluid, attacking football for a change. As things turned out, this all came from Newcastle, as West Ham were absolutely dire. Couldn't believe it given how well they had been playing. Maybe I'm the curse.

I think the players will be boosted by the confidence shown in them by board. Onwards and upwards.

2-0 Villa. Both own goals.

Just when you think the sky is falling in, we'll go and get three unexpected points. No doubt the frustration will go into overdrive as we curse the lack of investment in January.

The board may have thrown in the towel but there's still a few players that have a bit of pride. An early goal and a very professional performance.

1-0 Villa

I've got the same feeling about tonight's match down there as i did in the Marlon Harewood scoring 3 and us getting whipped game.
4-1 to the hammers i'm afraid

What is this "striker" position Sendo is referring to?

Got a feeling it's going to be a bizarre game tonight. West Ham 2 Villa 5. And yes, I'm drinking early.

Remi still thinks we can stay up - and we have to believe that's the case - win tonight and Saturday and the 6 or 7 teams above us will start to panic.  Come On Boys - there is still time - JUST

Too much doom and gloom over the last few days so I will lie in my teeth and say 3-2 Villa.

If Flabbers nets a couple tonight I will personally buy him all the Kentucky Chicken he apparently loves. That is as long as WHU score one!
