The only F.A. cup we stand any chance of winning is the Fecking Atrocious one.

One of the oldest, most successful teams in England - with a billionaire owner.
Its hard to take.

Exactly. It's not like we're owned by a local businessman struggling to make ends meet with the banks banging on the door. We're billionaire's play thing, and he's got fed up and thrown us away.

Not sure a Post Match thread is warranted.

If there is one, in the interest of accuracy it should not contain the word "match" in the title.

Post Encounter Thread?
post mis match thread

Very poor customer service today Villa.

Fox is pleased to announce that todays Bovril and Pie sales show an increase of 3% compared to this time last year.

At least it was against man city. Against a lower league team that would be even more embarrassing as I doubt the team we had out today would have played any better against anyone.

we will need some fecking luck to stay up next year with this lot running the villa worst shite in my 50 odd years

I'm glad someone else thinks like this. I've been a regular since '77 and I've been racking my brain trying to think of another era as depressing as these last 6 seasons and nothing comes close. Randy Lerner has torn the pride out of this club and has got away with it. Shame on him.

That's the thing.  Somehow he is getting away with it.  It's been such a clever, subtle lowering of expectations every year that people no longer seem to fully take in what is going on. We will be sitting just below halfway in the Championship table  next year and folk will be saying, "Villa should be doing better than that, they're a top half Championship club..."

Lerner is destroying the club.  I'm inclined to think he is already considering pocketing the prize money we get on finishing the season. What is it for this year? 65million, I think.  That will cover the price he bought us for.

But with the help of Hollis we are going to put in to place processes that help us gain additional reach within quasi- governmental organisations. Lerner said so.
