Still trying to come to terms with how the Bears managed to lose nast night against the Tykes .Takes some doing to lose your last 6 wickets for just 13 runs .Some terrible decision making by some of our players.What on earth Porterfield was thinking playing that shot only he knows .Leaving OHD on strike during the run out another strange piece of decision making .As for Patel,someone should remind him to take a bat with him .I honestly can not remember him scoring in the last half dozen or so innings .I have just heard the Pears thrashed again at Trent Bridge so next Fridays match is going to be interesting

Horrendous today from the Bears.

Yet another "flat" wicket i.e. dead as dodo and 2 spinners picked. Who would have thought Boyd Rankin would get injured early on, in this case after one over? Quite a few of us, to be honest.

The wicket is as  far at is it legal to go towards the Rea Bank side, so I suspect some massive scores will ensue and the game will be drawn.

The attendance was well under a thousand, which for a first day would be firing alarm signals in many organizations, but we have weddings, business conferences and something called Ultra White Collar Boxing, not to mention  the Rounders Final Day.

No surprise to see we struggled against this lot.They really are our bogy side are Hants. We never seem to play well against them and anything that can go wrong, it seems will. It sounds as if Rankin will play no further part in the game ,so even at this early stage i would suggest we are fighting to save the match let alone win it

I think Poysdens time will come later in the game. This wicket won't do him any favours whatsoever currently. He bowled OK yesterday for his 8 overs and forced an
error out of Allsop to claim his wicket.
I haven't gone down today because of the state of the wicket and it's quite possible/likely that this match will be similar to that of the Sussex game last season both
teams scoring 600+. The wicket they are playing on is next to the Sussex wkt from last year...
I got very bored yesterday and disappeared into Wyatt bar and watched Andy Murray and had more than i should of Stowford Press.

It's not just you, but I've seen a few people on this thread trying to devalue the 2020 format by calling it 'rounders', I think it's a bit unfair to be honest.

It's the format that attracts the biggest gates of the season and therefore the most revenue for the club. In the 4-day format around 80-90% of matches this season have been drawn, so that's quite boring and dull to go down and spend a day at most of the time, and not particularly enticing to spend your money on for non-members.

Personally my favourite format is the 50 overs, just the right length for that mixture of excitement and skill.
