Best French joke ever (from one of the best French films ever):

"Quelle est la différence entre une moule et un pull-over ?

Bah un pull-over ça moule, et une moule ça pue l'ovaire !"

I'll leave it to BE to try and explain that one. It'll be a fuck of a lot more interesting than the game.

Bloody hell. So much for those who were dropped last week being hungry* to get back in.

*my assumption, not a quote of anybody.

I heard we were interested in their goalie.

But I bet he hasn't made a save yet

Someone said earlier on the TV coverage thread that the goals would be available on the red button on the telly, as they happen.

You've got to admire the optimism at least.

How are we going to shift the shite out the club when they can not even raise their game for their own futures sake?

Well that was abysmal. A bunch of fat blokes from the fourth division outplaying us. It's f in cold here so I am going to give it ten minutes second half and then leave if they are not any better. Can't be bothered anymore .....

OK.

"to snatch", as in "grab" or "rob" is "arracher" or "dérober".

"a snatch" as in a fanny is "une chatte" or "une moule"
No wonder my moules marinere tasted so fishy

The only French jokes I know are about French lovers getting away with crimes because they pleaded that they thought their partner was English.  Necrophiliac , heiress etc etc.

I'm a bit rusty, but something along the lines of "a pull-over fits you tightly, but a vagina smells like ovaries".

It loses something without the French homophones.

AVTV is giving me a replay of Woodwards commentary from other games at half time. Bloody hell, I know we fans have been a bit abusive but surely this is cruel and unusual punishment?

Someone sit at the side of the pitch with a bell and ring last orders, see if that gets the fucker moving.

Now jack is back and sounds out of breath. Maybe rubbed one out at half time?
