Third home game in a week not long after Christmas, it's hardly surprising.

I disagree with making changes for the sake of it unless they are injured or we have a new signing available.  Maybe give Lescott a breather and replace him with Richards but only if the old fecker can't handle two games in a week.  I might tinker with the bench though and replace Richardson with Grealish.  Keep this momentum up.  I predict a 2-0 win. Kozak to net at least one of the goals.

I agree. I'd give Veretout and Lescott a rest but that's about it.

agree totally

rest a couple , get a couple of goals up and get 3 off after an hour

I'm with you both. I think it's vital to continue with the process of rebuilding the team's confidence: and keeping the side mostly intact will, I believe, pay dividends. I realise the risk that suffering unfortunate injuries may have, but they can happen any time - so hopefully Remi will resist making wholesale changes.

I'll go 3-1 in 90 minutes - with the customary early-doors 'brown trouser moments'. It's the Villa way innit.

I would go for this team

Bunn,
Richards, Okore, Clark, Ally
Westwood, Vertout, Lyden
Grealish Rudy Kozak

So we can rest a few players

Should be a routine win. Garde will rotate a bit which is appropriate.

Yes  I am in Trinity Road tomorrow so I would like him to look up towards me rather than the pitch.

Same team which have played the last 2 games. With the exception of Richards for Bacuna. Making changes for the FA Cup is absurd.
Up my street Tom.

I never want to see Carlos Sanchez in a Villa shirt ever again. I'd take Westwood every time.
That's quite absurd Tom.

The ground looks very, very empty on the seat plan. Hardly surprising though really.

Not surprising, agree, but even so, far emptier than I'd suspected.

I think we are looking at as few as 15/16k (including the 4k Wycombe have sold).

Agreed, a very weird statement. In the first half against West Ham, Sanchez was having one of his best games for us - he was superb. I think we would have won if he hadn't gone off. He is strangely prone to having the odd stinker but is often one of our better players. That said, Gana has looked less ponderous and more dynamic in the same role so he might struggle to get back into the team.

I'd rest Veretout, Lescott and maybe Ayew. It would be really nice if we could get a really comprehensive win, just to boost that confidence further.

Just heard this on Talksport; the Wycombe players have prepared for the game on the Yorkshire Moors in a log cabin, cooking for themselves and washing their own kit. Earlier in the season their Chairman paid for them to visit the Somme, all part of an impressive Management approach to keeping their feet on the ground.

4,800 travelling fans tonight, I'll be surprised if we more than double that.
