Nah. Westwood had played pretty well up until that last woeful pass.
He was playing the ball much quicker than what he is used to

Nothing wrong with that display that a quality striker wouldn't fix.

Snapping into tackles, playing at a higher tempo, working harder.... much better all round, just no cutting edge up front.

Yup. Best 45 minutes in a long time.

We don't ever have two decent halves so that first 45 better have been the shit one.

Kozak looks poor. Sorry but he does.  Neither he nor Gestede are up to it. We need a couple of mobile forwards. Westwood is poor.  Bacuna needs to actually cross on his right peg.

That was our good half sadly

That half flew by. We're looking good but we need more in the box when the ball comes in. Even Westwood hasn't looked bad apart from one terrible pass out from defence at the end of this half. Reallly not convinced by Kozak, Lacks confidence and gave it away when he could have driven through their defence.

Why oh why couldn't it have been like this earlier this season?

Well that was our good half then.

More of the same please and no cheap, brain fart goals.

Seems to be more about us by reports, just missing final ball.

Interesting the difference in opinion of BBC and sky.  Bbc say probably our best 45 minutes and sky saying Palace dominant.

Think we've been all right. You can see how quickly we lose confidence when a pass goes astray too.
Lescott has been rock solid today to be fair. He's probably going to be a once a week sort of player. We probably can't play him at the weekend too. But regardless of his failing legs he's far and away our best defender.
Okore scares the life out of me.
If Bacuna and Cissokho were better with the ball driving forward we'd be having more joy. That said, Aly has put in a couple of decent crosses.
Westwood is actually looking the part today (aside from a couple of sloppy passes) and more importantly seems to be working his socks off.
Gana is having his best game in a while.
Veretout by contrast has been disappoitingly quiet and when we get it wide he really needs to be busting a gut to offer support in the box.

Ayew...I fucking love this guy. He works so hard, it really matters to him and you can see it etched on his face that he cares. He's also got talent.
Gil has been lively.
Kozak has been better than Gestede. He's not been particularly good though he had one good flick on for Ayew, but fairs fair it's his first start in the Prem for about 50 years. We've got to get some better delivery to him though and some bodies in and around him when the ball comes in, in case of knock downs.

More of the same second half and just be a bit more adventurous. Veretout needs to be pushing further up when we're attacking.

They have one of the best defences in the prem unless we commit more bodies into the box we will never score. A lot more effort though.

That fella at Wycombe took more good corners in one game than we have managed all season

Who is reporting for Sky?
