Wycombe Wanderers vs Aston Villa Pre-Match Thread
« on: January 03, 2016, 04:27:21 PM »
So next week is a complete free one but a chance to build some confidence - I cant face seeing the same team we need something different trial a few things.

The likes of Sinclair, NZog, Richardson are done for me - not interested overpaid and there are a few more. The likes of Gestede, Westwood and some of the French lads lack that killer quality at premiership level.

Team for me as follows

Bunn - needs to be given a chance

RB - Richards - the Centre Half Trial has been a disaster

CB - Okore - don't understand why hes been dropped only one with pace and I think Im right whilst he was in the team we did not concede more than 1 in a game?

CB - Lescott - not many other options but him and Okore so far have been best of a bad bunch

LB - Bennett - Has a decent cross on him and how we need it - needs some game time

DCM - Gary Gardner - Again can he be any worse  did well at Forest in this position

CM - Lyden - Again like gardner above deserves a go

CM - Veretout - One of the few players who seems to have improved under Garde

LW - Ayew - has to come back in

RW - Adama - has to be given a full 90 mins

STK - Kozak - deserves some game time. I did think about Gestede for confidence but im not sure it will help

My mates son plays for stoke u21 , was chatting with him yesterday , discussing how he's doing etc , they were watching videos of various villa players before game etc . The comments were basically that kozak was awful and Adama was just ridiculously fast , quickest they had seen .
Not exactly groundbreaking news but the comments about kozak sort of explain how no manager will give him a gig .

Most PL teams would tend to put a weaker side out for a Cup game against lower league opposition.

How we field a weaker team than the ones we put out week after week is beyond me!

And even if we could put out a weaker team we shouldn't as we have F all to play for other than the Cup.

Field a team of youngsters, I'd rather see them bust a gut.

I'd be putting out one or two of our young strikers. How have Sellars and Rushian been doing? I've spotted the odd match report and they seem to score, so they could be worth some game time. Even if one turns out to be the next Vassell, that's gonna be a shite-sight better than seeing Gestede lumber around or Gabby do piss all.

I think we need to put a strong (haha) team out to try and avoid public humiliation on national TV. Gardner's injured (when isn't he?) so Westwood will probably go there (Sanchez is out too); Adama limped off yesterday so he'll be out - so Garde will probably put Sinclair in. Bennett hasn't kicked a ball all season and I think he may want Cissokho to get more game time if he's going to be the backfill for Amavi for the season. Other than that, I just don't know any more

Sellers -11 games, 4 goals.  Might be worth starting him!

On the basis that we should ship most of those walkers out and don't want them cup tied, here are the players/twats that we should leave out.
Guzan-Bacuna -Hutton - Richardson-Clark-Agbonlahor Richards unless he will play Right Back.

Give Luke Moore a run out and get Joey Cole back from Cov or wherever he is.

Next week is our most important game of the season. Our season is over once we go out of the cup. I'd go;

                      Bunn

Richards    Clark   Okore    Cissokho

                Westwood    Veretout

Traore            Grealish            Sinclair

                      Ayew

Guzan, Lescott, Bacuna, Gil, Lyden, Gestede, Kozak

Our season is already over. Ensuring the embarassment of this season doesnt get worse is what we need to avoid

Clark is as weak as they come and slow to. Never want to watch him struggle in a claret and blue shirt again.
