Blues are still very much in the promotion race as well. The ultimate humiliation could yet happen.
It really sets the tone when you think about the teams we have in the area...Villa - Owner wants to sell,WBA - Owner wants to sell,Wolves - Owner wants to sell,Blues - Owner wants to be free let alone accepting real money for the place!Coventry- They just played a season in Northampton ....enough said. And fair play to Walsall who somehow manage to have a stable club whilst running off what ever money they find on a sunday evening after the market! (The latter part may be exaggerated)Either way in terms of West Midlands football, it's not the best.

Coventry and Walsall are having good seasons in Division One, Wolves seem to be turning the corner and Blues are pushing for the play offs in the Championship, and despite his faults Albion won't go down under Pulis. We, in comparison, are festering like a lump of white dog shit on a bit of waste ground.
if cov , burton and walsall get promotion , plus wolves and blues already therethere will be plenty of midlands derby matches next season and it could work in our favourAs it did when we won Division one /the league in 1981

It would be a combination of experienced championship sides, newly promoted sides with upward momentum......and us.
