Okore I'm guessing rested due to missing pre season and knee issues , 2 games in 2 days too much for him

Sinclair starts ,good movement and works hard but for me doesn't do enough on the ball but he is more likely to score as anyone else we can play there.Bacuna in midfield to add legs with Sanchez missing which shows why we have been linked to MF's as we are lacking in depth there .

Looks to me like he's playing Bacuna right midfield, but yes a few too many changes for me. I wonder how many other clubs have done that though only playing two days ago?

As you suggest it isn't unexpected to make changes with games so close together, some players may have slight knocks and others naturally take longer to recover.

I'd have had Gil rather than Bacuna. I wouldn't have been playing Sinclair either, but to be fair to him, though he doesn't pull up any trees defensively, he does more than Gil, Grealish or Traore in that respect, so I can see why he's been included.
That's a side well short on creativity though. I think in our position we have to gamble on at least one creative player who might not do much defensively.

Maybe Okore's recent injury history has something to do with his omission today.

Yep. Okore and Lescott have both had their injury problems, so resting them is probably a good move now that Micah's back

I thought Bacuna might move into the right of the midfield 4. In fairness Gil did nothing there to justify selection today and Bacuna might protect Hutton more.

Sinclair is a strange one I thought Gestede might be ideal for this one unless the knock he took is bothering him.

Recent (slightly) better results and performances with Okore and Lescott will mean fuck all if normal service is resumed with that re-instated central defensive pair.

That looks like a team picked not to lose rather than a team picked to win, no creativity or movement at all, we'll maybe scrape another draw.

Too many changes for my liking. There was a cohesiveness about the side vs West Ham. I can see resting a couple plus Sanchez being out, but four is a lot. Especially both CB's. Add to that Gestede didn't do too badly the other day, so to bring in Sinclair means we have to play a very different style. Richardson is useless and a liability. My concern is as much about team chemistry as it is about the lack of quality.

Anyway we'll see how it goes.

The defence is a worry. Mainly because Richardson is rubbish and Clark has been woeful with Richards who goes walkies to often for comfort.

While I'm okay with Gestede not starting, I don't understand the exclusion of Traore/Gil/Grealish in favor of Bacuna.. against NORWICH.

Go for it, we don't need two LBs on the pitch against Norwich. I have no confidence in getting three points from this but hopefully Ayew can pull through again.
